You only needed to take a break,
Go through the beach for a week or two,
Swim in clean water, then leave.
You planned on heading back home,
But the car engine lost its battery and ran out of fuel.
You now find yourself in this wasteland,
With no clue of how you even got here.
In the middle of a tectonic field,
One volcano is already dangerous enough,
Leaving molten rocks and ashes in the environment that surrounds it.
But two are about to erupt soon, and you're in between.
You can't prevent something that happens naturally.
You may stand there in shock and bargain,
You may start blaming a friend for suggesting the beach,
But you were the one to go.
This short trip didn't go as planned.
You already experienced this years ago,
When you thought they were beyond your reach,
But they still managed to destroy your home.
Now, you need to evacuate when they are still in their early stages.
You don't deserve to swim in lava,
You can't be caught in the middle of a crossfire,
When all you wanted was to be a tourist in another place.
