Becoming the Future

Chapter 8

"Ok. Sounds good to me," answered Dex as I finished. "Who are you going out with first?" He flashed a smile that showed his dimples.

"Maybe you, since I see you alot. We'll go this weekend,"Sophie answered. "Sounds good," answered Dex. "I'll plan everything."

She smiled and went to her dorm. Even though it was still early, she went to bad because it was a long weekend. Went she woke up she showered, brushed her hair and got dressed. She rushed out the door and ran to her first class. It went fast and she went to study. She had lunch in her room and thought about what would happen this weekend.

The rest of the day was slow. And then the rest of the week was slow too.

Finally the weekend came and Sophie was getting ready. She pushed on a white dress that had spaghetti straps and ended just below her knees. She pushed on cleaning lip gloss and purple eye shadow and mascara. She wore white sandals, because she didn't want to fall down from heels. She French braided her long hair, and it ended in the middle of her back. She thought she looked good, and knew Dex would love it.

She was going to leave to go to his dorm but she opened the door and he was standing there in an orange tunic and black pants and he had a red cape on. He held a red rose out to her and she took it. "You look good," he said, blushing. "You, too" she answered and he smiled with his dimples showing.

"Shall we go?" He asked, holding his arm up. Sophie hooked her arm around his and he pulled out his leapfinder. He pulled out his leapfinder and the light whisked then away.

He took her to Funtime. She warned him to not let her drink too much Fizzle Juice. He said he'd try and that's all she could get out of him. He brought her to a table and she ordered some mashed carnissa root and some mallowmelt for both of them.

They ate until they were full and by the time they were done with the date, they were laughing like crazy.

"Only you can find a way to get hurt on the Funslide." Dex said laughing.

"Well, those colorful balls weren't even soft." She argued.

"Still, you're the only one."

"Ok. I give up. Let's go get another drink."

She got up and he followed her. They sat down at the bar and Dex ordered two Fizzle Juices. He drank his slowly but Sophie drank hers fast and asked for another one. "Sophie. Drink that one slow, ok?" Dex asked. "Ok." She said. She fibished that one but didn't order another one. They went to the towers and Dex walked with her to her dorm. "That was fun. I'll see you Monday," she said. Then she leaned in to kiss him and he leaned in, too.

Sophie woke up in her bed with Dex laying next to her, wearing his shirt and boxers. She didn't know what happened, but she didn't care. She had had fun last night.

When Dex woke up, he kissed her on the cheek, got his pants on and then left. Sophie went to Biana's dorm for a little bit and then remembered that Keefe was taking her on a date. She would have to get ready soon.

A/N was that chapter long? It fell long to me. This was dedicated to Reyna-Kane, who I believe is team Dex, and all those other Dex lovers. I hope everyone loved it.
