Fitz is happy. His smile is back. He looks more alive. All because of Lizzy. She was his life.
Apparently, Sophie couldn't give that to him. But Lizzy is his own flesh and blood.
They sat there, snuggling Lizzy. Finally, Fitz said,"I think we should tell everyone to stop looking," and then he got up to call everyone. Sophie stayed with Lizzy. "Mama, when will the baby come?" She asked.
"Oh, soon, baby. Soon," Sophie answered. Fitz came back with an even bigger smile and said, "We are going to celebrate Lizzy coming home." Lizzy started crying. "I don't want a birthday party," she screamed. "Shh, it's okay. This isn't a birthday party," Fitz cooed, kneeling down by her.
"Fitz, I think we should go by Elwin instead," Sophie said quietly. "Why?" He asked. "Lizzy's fine." But then he looked up at her and said,"Oh."
