(Nora's POV)
I should have known that Dawn was going to take longer than twenty minutes in the shower. She was never able to take showers that quick in our time, why would she be able to now? I was left downstairs, alone and bored. It also made me the one who had to open the door when someone inevitably knocked. Suddenly I wished I would have been able to know who it was instantly like Aunt Kara.
I made my way over to the door timidly, unlocking and opening it slowly just in case I would have to close it again. I could use my super speed if I had to.
"You're not Barry." Oliver Queen was the culprit who had knocked. I was honestly surprised to see him. He wasn't really considered our Uncle, but Dawn and I considered him family because dad did. Oliver had always been a bit weird and aloof from his time on the island, it made sense why he didn't really feel comfortable being called Uncle.
"Nope." I grinned. "I'm Nora." Knowing it was only Oliver calmed my nerves instantly. He hesitated.
"Nora." He repeated, rocking from heel to toe. "Just out of curiosity, why are you in Barry's loft? Where is Iris?"
I laughed. Boy, was he out of the loop.
"There is a lot you need to be caught up on. Come in." I opened the door wider so that he could come inside. He seemed cautious but slipped past me eventually to enter the loft. "Is this just a visit or did you need something from dad?"
I led him over to the couch.
"Dad? Are you insinuating that Barry is your father?" Oliver paused, thinking. He took a seat on the couch. "Barry is too young to be your father. You're too old, we all would have known. Unless he adopted you, which, you look too much like him for that to be true."
"I'm Barry's biological daughter, Nora Allen." I stuck my hand out to shake his. He did so hesitantly. This whole situation had clearly thrown him for a loop. "I'm going to explain things so that I don't confuse you further. I'm from the future. I accidentally ran to the past and now I am here."
"Definitely Barry's daughter, just not from this point in time." Oliver nodded, catching on. "Continue."
"Iris isn't here because she and dad are in the process of getting a divorce." I said, cringing a little. He seemed shocked by this.
"Divorce? That would mean that Iris isn't your mom?" He stated, but it came out as more of a question. I knew how confusing dealing with the future could be. "Is there anything else I should know?"
"I have a twin sister and she is also in the past with me." I shrugged, moving to sit in the recliner across the room. "She should be down, eventually. She always takes forever to get ready."
He dropped his head into his hands, pinching the bridge of his nose. He seemed a little frustrated.
"Here's the thing, mini Barry, I need a CSI and Barry seems to be busy, so I'll just get a hold of him later." He stood from the couch, clearly getting ready to leave.
"I can help!" I perked up, standing from the recliner. He looked unsure.
"You're what? Sixteen?" I scoffed, speaking up before he could continue.
"I'm eighteen." I said, crossing my arms over my chest with a glare.
"Same difference. Bottom line is, I need an adult who has been an adult for more than a year and has advanced knowledge in the CSI field." Oliver said, continuing on his way over to the door.
