Y/n's POV
What are you thinking about?" Five's husky voice snapped me out of my thoughts as I snuggled into his arms in his king-size bed, his fingers in my hair. It couldn't get enough of him. The physical attraction between us was insane, inexplicable, inimitable.
"I was wondering..." I hesitated. My heart still was pounding like crazy. I knew I couldn't keep my pregnancy a secret from him for much longer. It wasn't fair. I played a hundred different scenarios in my head, with Five being over the moon in some of them or completely furious and against it in others. But no matter the scenario, I knew what I wanted. "What do you think of having kids?"
"Kids?" I didn't see his face, but I could tell he was taken aback. "I've never really thought about it. Why?"
"Nothing. I was just curious," I quickly replied. I knew it wasn't right for me, but I freaked out again. It was all happening so fast, too fast.
"I like the idea of having a family with you, Y/n," Five said softly, grabbing my chin with his fingers and gently tilting my head back so our eyes locked. " I think we should first set the wedding date." He kissed the tip of my nose.
I propped myself on my elbows, resting my head on my hands, not breaking our eye contact. "Do you have a special date in mind?"
"How about next month?" he asked, dead serious, and I sat looking at him in disbelief.
"Next month?"
"Yeah, why not?" He adjusted himself on the bed to hold me in his arms, leaving a soft kiss on my arm as he whispered. "I can't wait to call you Mrs. Hargreeves."
"Well, technically I'm already a Hargreeves."
"You know what I mean." Five replied.
I felt a weird feeling feeling in my belly. Excitement. Happiest. Butterflies. I felt like the luckiest girl under the sun. It felt like I had everything. Sometimes I was afraid it was all just a dream, and I would wake up to the dire reality I had lived in just a couple weeks ago before. But it was happening for real. The feeling was real. Too real to ever recreate it. A love like this only happens once in a lifetime.
"Okay." I said, unable to fight the laughter of pure joy. Everything seemed so easy, so natural with Five, that I didn't even want to wait. I wanted to be his, officially and forever. "Let's get married in a month."
"Are you serious?" Five looked at me, surprised on his face.
"I am," I whispered, grinning as I kissed him. "I love you."
"I love you, too."
꧁---------------------------------------------꧂
The next couple of days were like paradise on earth. That media reported on my unexpected wedding to Five Hargreeves. We were the hot headlines of every newspaper and even got labeled as Romeo and Juliet. I couldn't care less. I felt like I was floating on a cloud of bliss. I'd never been happier in my entire life. We set the wedding date, and I dove into everything about the wedding. I managed to forget about my dark past, about all the dreadful things I'd been through, and I started to believe it all was finally behind me. Sometimes I felt melancholic because I haven't heard from some of my family. I managed to keep in touch with Jayme, Fei, and Sloane only. I felt like the rest abandoned me only because I was chasing my happiness. But then again. I had sisters, and Five, and they all made me feel like I was special. I thought Five was my blessing, my savior, and that I was about to create a new life by my dream man's side. Little did I know, it was the calm before the massive storm.
