4: Attraction and Need

Pleasantries were soon exchanged and a light semi-formal conversation ensued. The alpha was convinced that he could put his trust in those five new faces, mostly because they were send here by the elder himself and also because two of them turned out to be his sons' mates.

The arrangement for their stay were done in the guest house, which was pretty much close to the pack house itself and the proposal was shot down as quickly as it came. But, the alpha had some another plans. The alpha was totally against rushing things. They had met not hours ago and sharing a private space like a mated couple was just as crazy as it sounded. The fact that they were mates wasn't a good enough excuse for him.

Currently Taehyung was sitting on his usual spot, in the balcony. He could feel the soft breeze caress his cheeks as he was basking in the starry moonlight.

His sleep was robbed by his new-found mate. How could one even be at ease

mate. How could one even be at ease after learning the fact that the one he had waited for, all his life, was in the very next building, so close yet out of his reach. How can anyone expect him to sleep? Regardless of being stubborn, this was that one feat, that Taehyung couldn't achieve.

So here he was, staring at the night sky; counting stars.

He let out a long groan. This was more relaxing than he initially thought. He had waited for his mate for so long and now that he was finally here, he couldn't even be next to him. Not fair!Huffing, he got up and began walking towards his room. Maybe if he'd roll around in the bed for a while, he would fall asleep....eventually.

"I see you haven't slept yet."

A smooth whisper caressed his ears, a familiar one. The quietness of the night and his wolf senses helped him catch the words which were ready to get dissolved into the night.

Taehyung immediately turned around in the direction of Jungkook's voice eagerly. Unconsciously, he let out a sigh of relief.

There he stood, his mate, in his entire glory before him, in his balcony, smiling at him. His eyes were glued on Taehyung's body and the loving and tender expression on his face plainly visible to the world as if he, Taehyung, was the biggest miracle of his life.

"Jungkook.."

Taehyung rasped out. He fidgeted a little under the piercing gaze. He didnt know what to do when Jungkook looked at him with such intense expressions. It was overwhelming.

Jungkook smiled and shook his head slightly as if he was shaking away all of his thoughts,

"I couldn't sleep as well you know. I mean you were here, within my reach, and I'd have to spend the night all alone in the guest house? Not happening. So here I am."

Jungkook whispered huskly as he walked closer to the omega. He stood right in front of him and inhaled deeply, taking in the mouth-watering scent of his mate. His eyes glowed for a moment before he slipped his arms around the other and pressed him closer to his ownbody.

Taehyung basked in the warmth and tingles,

"Thank god you are here. I was losing my mind."

He whispered back as he pressed his face on the broad chest in front of him.

"So my baby was missing me huh...?"

Jungkook teased and pulled Taehyung's face away just enough to be able to encounter that mad blush coating his features.

Taehyung, who chewed on his bottom lip, nodded, feeling shy all of a sudden. He immediately buried his face back into Jungkook's chest and hid himself happily.
