15: A Promise To Be Together

The two boys considered time precious, for they could only meet for a few hours a day, on average two. But that wasn't enough for them, they wished to be together always, though that was impossible at present.

The friendship between Jungkook and Taehyung was completely unknown to the latter's family they didn't even knew he had a friend. Taehyung doubted what his parents will do if they discovered his secret and the little devil of a brother he had wasn't very helpful, his sister was nice, yet there was always an 'if' hanging around. So it was kept a secret.

Things were kept hidden until-

Taehyung and Jungkook were off running in the small abandoned land not too far not too close to the house. This is where they usually play, and they normally went unnoticed because of the huge trees with canopies and small creeping wild plants that covered the whole area making the place disguise into a small forest
Taehyung dropped himself on the ground over the small bed of grass, laying on his back breathing heavily.

"I can't anymore. Tired." He breathed out.

Jungkook who had ran a bit ahead stopped and turned to smile at the drained boy. Of course, the boy unlike him was an omega. They won't be strong as him. He ran back and sank next to him, imitating his friend. Both layed, eyes scanning white clouds, each with different shapes, in the blue sky.
Peaceful.

"Tae?" The omega answered with a small hum.

"I realized something today."

Taehyung looked curiously at other who held an expressionless face. He waited for his friend to continue.

"You know. Mates. The one destined for you and the one you are suppose to spend your entire life with."

Jungkook said frowning, his voice told he was displeased with the topic.

Taehyung nodded. Of course he'd heard of mates. His sister always blabbers about finding hers. But unlike her Taehyung wasn't so interested in that topic, having a mate and all is great but that would mean he won't be able to spend time with Jungkook like this and he doesn't want that. So he absolutely blocked that thought from entering his mind.

"Have you ever thought what will happen if we find our mates? Will we still be like this? We wont right? You'll leave me and go happily with your other half. And I don't want that to happen."

Jungkook's eyes held sorrow as he spoke. Never can he think of losing this adorable omega.

"I don't want you to leave me. Ever."

He turned sideways facing other who had this eyes on him already.

A small smile grazed Taehyung's lips as he turned completely towards Jungkook and cupped his cheek.

"Kookie, I won't. I can't. It's not possible for me to ever leave you. You mean so much to me. I don't want a mate, if it causes distance between us. I'll always be with you. You are all I want."

His eyes sparkled as he said that, the words of promise sunk into other boy's heart, who grinned widely.

"Tae... thank you. I promise the same. You and me, we'll be together always. Let's reject who ever our mates would be and we'll stay together."

Jungkook said as he pulled the little omega close to his chest, hands around his waist. Pink splashed across the cheeks of the omega as he snuggled into the other.

"Together forever."

He mumbled on the warm chest. They laid in the same position, smiling. The pleasant feeling calmed their senses and they closed their eyes giving into the comfortable warmth-
