24: Warm & Safe

Jungkook never left... he kept waiting... waiting for his Taehyung to wake up... it's only been seven hours away form the room, unconscious. But for him it felt like decades. Waiting for his favorite boy to wake up was turning out to be tough. He just wants to make sure he's okay.

Jungkook knows that they will be together... But he couldn't understand the deep ache in his heart. Taehyung won't know his mate! Why was he so affected by this? He won't know his mate? His mate! That kept eating him.
Sitting on the floor, he rested his chin on the bed, eyes stuck on the sleeping boy, who looked peaceful as if he didn't undergo any of the torture. That thought boiled Jungkook's blood again. Bastards.

His mother, father, and his brothers came countless times asking him to at least drink a drop of water or go freshen up. He knows he looks like a mess right now, but that's not his concern.

Clasping the small soft hands within his, he sighed. "Wake up Tae... Don't punish me like this... I'm sorry for being late. But please it's... Wake up please." He whispered under his breath. With a sigh again he studied the small boy's face. He looked so beautiful! How can someone look this beautiful while unconscious? He's soft like a baby. He chuckled remembering how Taehyung had addressed himself as a baby when they first met. An adorable baby he is.

"Wake up baby..."

That's when he felt it. A small pressure on his hands. Looking towards their clasped hands he found Taehyung squeezing on his hand. He was waking up. He almost burst with joy. But that came to an end just as easily. Eyeballs were moving underneath the closed eyelids rapidly. Taehyung's dreaming... no he's having a nightmare. Tears spilled out of the closed eyes as small cries broke out of him. Taehyung began trashing around the bed, his cries turned into screams.

Jungkook jumped on to the bed and held the boy's face within his palm. He lowered down towards his ears he whispered soothing words and promises as he tried to wake him up without scaring him. With lots of effort from his part he finally managed, Taehyung calmed down. Though he was still crying, the screams and thrashing had stopped.

"Open your eyes baby... Wake up. You're safe Tae... I'm here for you..."

Jungkook whispered with all his affection poured in his words. He succeeded, Taehyung took a deep breath and slowly opened his eyes. Letting the thick lashes expose the shining pools of brown. Tears flowed out of them as he parted his lips to voice out his thoughts.

"I...I..."

"Shhh. Tae... You're fine. You're safe with me."

"Kookie...I...I...He..."

His small voice as he whimpered.

"I know baby and I'm sorry. I am so sorry you had to go through that. But don't worry he won't do anything now. I've made sure of that. Now you're safe."

Taehyung stared at Jungkook with his eyes wide open, his lower lips pushed out as small sobs escaped him.

"I'm safe? He... He won't come?"

"No. He won't."

Taehyung flung his arms around Jungkook's neck pulling him closer, causing him to fall on top of him. A happy cry escaped him as he felt assured that he's safe, with his Jungkook.

Taehyung pushed his face against Jungkook's shoulder, letting tears sink into the cloth. He rubbed his red stuffed nose against his clavicle, getting more comfortable. Jungkook smiled and rolled on the bed bringing Taehyung on top of him, letting the boy rest his head against his chest. His one had around his waist while the other rubbed on Taehyung's back, calming the boy. Taehyung sighed happily against him.

"You know Tae... I was so scared. When I realized you got into trouble I... I lost it completely. I killed them Tae... I killed them."

He heard Taehyung gasp against his chest, he didn't stop.

"But I feel like I didn't torture them enough. I shouldn't have killed them so easily. How dare they do this to my Tae!"

Taehyung blushed when he heard that.

'My' he said. Snapping himself out of it. He concerned himself with the more trivial matter, letting worry take over him. He lifted his head a bit to look into Jungkook's eyes.

"You killed them! Jungkook you could have been hurt. He could have hurt you. I...I could have lost you."

Jungkook cupped one of his cheeks and smiled at him.

"You won't. Remember... I'm a royal wolf. A dirty insect like him can't hurt me."

Taehyung dropped his head back on his chest.

"You know... I never realized my father and mother hated me this much. I knew he disliked me but this...it...it hurts so much to know your own parents find you as a burden and 'disgrace' as he says. It hurts..."

He sniffed letting his tears fall again.
Jungkook couldn't help but let his heart break at this. He won't stand it if his father and mother turned against him. This boy has been through this all his life. Abused at his own house. But not anymore.

He pulled Taehyung closer to him tightening his grip on him.

"Tae... they were fools to not realize the gem that you are. They don't deserve you. You are so precious. My precious. And I'll make you realize how much you're worth every moment of your life."

Taehyung smiled and murmured a 'thank you' against him. He doesn't know what he did to deserve Jungkook. He makes him feel loved. He closed his eyes again, feeling content. Being in Jungkook's arms is all he needed.

"You know Jungkook... I like you so much. I would have been lost without you. You make feel wanted and protected... like I'm someone important."

An unknown intense emotion filled Jungkook as his chest swelled up making him almost tear up. Wow...this feeling...

"That's because you are and I like you too Tae.. so so much baby."

Taehyung lifted his head again, now frowning,

"Kookie? Why are you calling me baby? I'm not a baby. Am I?"

"Oh yes you are. I call you baby because you are a baby. My baby."

He said lifting his head up and pressing a soft kiss against his bright red cheek, which he realized was very hot against his lips.

Taehyung blinked his eyes multiple times before diving back into his chest, biting his lips, holding back the dangerous squeal that was daring to escape him.
