"Um... Kookie?"
Taehyung called out after a while, finally getting a clear view of his surroundings after pulling his head from Jungkook's neck. This place was not familiar to him. This place was screaming rich. What is this place? And the silky sheets below him on the soft mattress...
Jungkook 'hmm'd' after a second or two. Eyes closed in content at the wonderful feeling of having the smaller boy on top of him. "Where am I?" Taehyung whispered near his ears sending a shiver down his spine.
He breathed out before answering, steading his voice "My home."
"What?" Taehyung lifted his head and stared at Jungkook's eyes.
"My home. The castle."
Taehyung dropped his jaw with eyes bulged out. "What? What am I doing in your castle?" He screamed making Jungkook almost cover his ears. Jungkook's eyes bore into his for a while before he opened his mouth to speak.
"What should i have done then? You... you almost died. I almost lost you. And I'm never sending you back there ever again. You'll stay here with me. In this castle, you are not allowed to leave this place without me ever again." He said sternly, lips barely moving.
Taehyung lifted himself and sat up on the bed, wincing in the process. His body still sore from all the torture. "What do you mean Kookie? That's my home. My family is there. How can i live here? Besides my sister, she will be worried sick. I should go back."
Jungkook sat up in a second grabbing one of Taehyung's wrists. Not letting him move away from him. "No you're not. You'll stay here and about your sister, i'll let her know you are happy and safe with me. And i think she'll be happy to know that you are safe with me. As for the others. They have nothing to do with you. So do you. So no, you're not going back. If you try to escape i'll drag you back here so don't bother doing that." He said putting an end to the discussion.
Taehyung huffed and looked away. He wanted to see his sister though. Seeing he didn't have any other choice and not wanting to make the royal in front of more angry he kept quite. Also deep down he himself didn't want to go back, he was tortured enough in that place. He hoped it'll be fine. But what will his parents say? Will they agree to him staying here? What will they think of him?
"Don't worry Tae, you're going to be fine here." Jungkook smiled at him holding the smaller ones hands within his. That smile. Taehyung believed him. Yes, it's going to be fine, as long as he has Jungkook.
-------------------------------------------
Taehyung was in wonder. He couldn't grasp the idea still. The worry that the king, the queen and the others held for him. The care given to him. It was all new. He was in heaven. He was never treated this way before. He was always a waste of space. But now he mattered, and that was something. And to make things thousand times better he had Jungkook with him.
He was amazed at the ways here. All were treated equal whether you're an alpha or a beta, or an omega all were the same. All were respected. The king and queen made sure they were. He absolutely loved it. The safety and he was adored. How different things were here. A good different.
But still he couldn't help but feel an emptiness. As if he lost something. Some part of him. At first he thought it was because of the events that took place which he oh so greatly wanted to forget. But then he realized it was something else. Maybe he missed his sister. So he begged Jungkook to let him see her. He saw her, talked for hours. Let her know he was fine and she was too. But that didn't solve his problem. He was still lost. It was killing him. He wanted it back whatever it was. So badly.
Both boys were wandering around the castle grounds one fine evening when Taehyung voiced out his worry to the other. He saw how Jungkook paled. Which only contributed to his worry. It's bad, he knew it.
"Tae... I wanted to tell you about this for a long. But I couldn't. I don't know how I can. It's..." Jungkook started.
"You know, you're scaring me." Taehyung mumbled.
"I- Tae... I'm sorry. It's my fault, if only I could've been faster. You didn't have to be like this..." Taehyung gulped. Now he was really scared. Was he going to die? Was he sick? He hoped not. He wanted to have more time with his Kookie. "Tae... your wolf... he's..." Jungkook took a breath "He's... gone."
"What?" Taehyung whispered. Now Jungkook was not making any sense. How can his wolf be gone? He'd met him back then. "Gone?"
"Your body... It's not strong enough to hold him anymore. When your wolf took over. You're body over strained and he's gone. I'm sorry."
Taehyung went blank. His wolf's gone. How can that happen? Was he a mere human now? Was he not a werewolf anymore? He can't have his wolf anymore? He lost him? He lost half of him? He didn't realize when tears began to flow out of his eyes. He didn't care. His wolf was gone!
"I can't have him back?" He barely said through the tears. Jungkook bit his lips before he answered.
"You will. He'll come back once you're completely fine and strong. I believe he will." He said wiping the tears that was staining other boy's cheeks with his thumb. He held Taehyung's face within his hands as if it was the most fragile thing in the world. He gazed at him lovingly "Don't cry baby. You'll have him back. Trust me on this." Taehyung blinked at him and nodded, sniffing along.
-----------------------
Everything was brighter and Jungkook did everything to fill up the emptiness Taehyung felt. Which only increased the fondness Taehyung felt for him. And now he had one more friend, though Jungkook was reluctant at the beginning at the new friendship, he came around after a bit. Marylin was a sweet girl. He was so shocked to know she was a witch. He never knew witches existed. It took sometime to let that sink in. But now he believed it seeing all the tricks she does, it would only question his sanity if he didn't. He also got three new hyungs. And one of them was an omega like him. Yes a royal, but still.
If Jungkook wasn't present then the other four always accompanied him. He was never left alone. The king and queen treated him like their own. It always brought him to tears. He never deserved all this. He was so lucky. If only things stayed like this always.
"You got to be joking. No I wont believe this. No I won't. It's impossible. No way." Taehyung couldn't believe what he just heard. How on earth is that possible? Them hundreds of years old? No. Absolutely not.
"It's true. We are, you can say we are immortal. We don't age above 21." Yoongi said as the five of them sat on the grass. The place was absolutely amazing. Giant trees surrounding the small match covered with grass, with small yellow flowers here and there and the blue sky with white clouds moving along the direction of the wind. This was life.
Taehyung wanted to pull his hair out. He glared at Jungkook. Why didn't he tell him this before?
"It skipped my mind. I swear I would have told you otherwise. You know I would." Jungkook said lifting up both of his hands in surrender.
Taehyung wrinkled his nose and scrowled at him then immediately turned his face to Jungkook's dismay. Jungkook really didn't mean to hide this. He would surely have told him. He didn't know how he left out that information. "And I'm not hundred or so years old. They are, I'm fifteen just like you."
"I'm not either. I'm just sixteen. But I can be immortal too. If I do that." Marylin barely spoke the last part.
"Wait a minute. So I'm the only one that'll get old and die. How is that fair?" Taehyung pouted.
"You won't. I won't let you." Jungkook said.
"And how in the world do you plan to do that?" Taehyung asked frowning though others had small smile on their lips.
Jungkook grinned. Yes he did have an idea. Now only if Taehyung agreed to that. "You'll see and Maryl what do you mean by that? If you do what?"
Marylin sat up and shifted uneasily. She didn't like this. She never will. It was bad, horrible. "You know, I know you heard about witches and what they do."
"You don't mean..." Hoseok trailed off and sat up along with her. He stared at her, no, he didn't like that image at all. Marylin ripping men's hearts out and eating them. Gross. No, just no.
Marylin nodded looking down. She didn't want to do it. But she'll be forced to if she doesn't want to age. Her mother will make sure of that. How she despised her mother for that. She better die than do that.
The others gasped. While Taehyung was lost again. Do what? "What is it?" He hated to be the only one not knowing anything. It's frustrating.
"Witches seduce men and eat their hearts to gain immortality." Jungkook whispered to him. Taehyung's widened in horror. Oh no.
"I won't. I can't." Marylin mumbled. Her eyes held tears. She really didn't want to do that. It's not who she is.
"Oh Marylin Don't worry we'll find a way. You don't have to do that." Jin said throwing an arm around her shoulder.
"Yes. Now cheer up girl." Hoseok said ruffling her hair grinning at her.
"Aaaahhhh. not my hair you fool." She said slapping his hands off her hair. She absolutely hates it when these boys destroy her hair style. She wiped off the tear that had escaped her eyes.
"Don't drown us in your tears." Yoongi said as he yawned, turning around to get more sleep. The others shook their heads at him. How much can a person sleep! Leaving him to sleep while the others carried on with their conversation.
