Just as Amor Fati ended his explanation, the room changed into a seemingly endless water body filled wtih pastel-colored clouds just above the surface of the water as though it's a mist forming; only leaving a round space acting as a stage.
'We're walking above the water!' isip ni Caia.
Posible rin naman iyon gamit ang spell ngunit ngayon ay kakaiba. They are standing on water without using any magic spells as if there is a glass above but she can vividly feel the wetness of the crystal clear water just beneath her feet.
"Caia."
Bigla siyang napaangat ng tingin kay Amor Fati. Kinilabutan kasi siya sa paraan nito ng pagbigkas ng kanyang pangalan. Isa pa, kadalasan ay buong pangalan kung tawagin siya nito. It's as if he suddenly felt closer to her, nevertheless, she wouldn't believe such an outcome.
'I have to toughen myself out,' sambit niya.
Ngunit tila naestatwa siya nang lumapit ito sa kanya at pinadausdos ang kamay nito sa kanyang buhok papunta sa kanyang pisngi. And when she took sight of his golden eyes, it felt like she was in a trance.
"This feels like a dream," she whispered.
"Well, you're certainly not dreaming."
Nang sabihin ito ni Amor Fati ay pinagkislop nito ang kanilang kamay at hinawakan niya ang bewang ni Caia gamit ang isa pa.
She then just felt herself dancing in grace together with him. Ni hindi nga niya alam kung ano bang sinasayaw nila, dahil hindi ito pamilyar sa kanila. At bawat pagtapak ng kanilang mga paa sa ibabaw ng tubig ay nagbibigay ng gintong liwanag.
Kasabay nito ay ang pag-iba ng kanyang pakiramdam, na para bang may pagbabago sa kanyang katawan. Sa tingin niya'y isa ito sa mga senyales sa pagiging imortal niya.
"You're good for a mortal, I thought no one could follow me in a dance of the Gods," sambit ni Amor Fati.
Wala namang naging reaksyon si Caia sa sinabi nito. Hindi naman niya kasi alam kung paano nga siya nakakasabay. She did know how to dance but it is indeed impossible to be in perfect synch and chemistry without practice. Ang akala nga niya'y kinokontrol lang ni Amor Fati ang katawan niya para makasabay dito pero mukhang hindi ayon sa ekspresyon ng kasayaw.
Then after her last twirl, he stopped and took the back of her neck with his right hand and pointed a finger in her forehead. He mumbled words she couldn't understand.
Alam niyang patapos na ito pero hindi niya ito agad balak tapusin. Naalala pa ni Caia ang sinabi ni Amor Fati kanina.
'When both our emotions are strong, the fastest you could be an immortal and as well as my successed divine partner.'
That is why they did the dance of the Gods and how he does his best to make them closer. She knows it is intentional, at ang akala niya'y 'di siya tatablan. She is underestimating the allure of an immortal. Wari niya'y ramdam na ramdam ni Amor Fati ang kaba niya kahit na anong pigil niyang itago ito.
'But I guess, hindi niya mahuhulaan ang susunod kong gagawin' sambit ni Caia.
She hastily tiptoed and held both sides of his shoulders as she reached for his lips. A smirk arose her when she felt him frozen in his place. Of course, no matter how alluring he is, he never would have thought someone, would dare to do that to him, the God of Fate.
It lasted for a few seconds, with just them not moving an inch but she went away when she felt him opening his mouth. Baka kung saan pa ito mapunta, kaya biglang napalayo si Caia.
"A dance like this should have like that as an ending show," she whispered right beneath his ear.
'What in the world am I doing?! Is this still even me?' sambit niya sa isip.
Kabado siya sa loob-loob niya pero mukhang nagtagumpay naman siya. Nagulat nga lamang siya nang biglang hawakan ni Amor Fati ang magkabilang gilid ng kanyang bewang at paliitin ang espasyo sa pagitan nilang dalawa. Parang ibang Amor Fati ang kanyang nasa harapan ngayon kumpara kanina.
"E-Elior?" sabi niya nang may pag-iingat.
Pero mukhang hindi ito nakatulong. It's as if calling him like that made him more different.
"You do not know what yourself into, Caia. Not when we are doing this ritual. I am vulnerable..."
"Vulnerable only to one person."
"The dance of the Gods can be a little bit dangerous but I think yours are different, don't worry Caia, do your best!"
Nag-flashback bigla ang mga salitang sinabi ni Erin sa kanya.
Then her mind went back to reality when she felt him sniffing her neck and his hands carresing her back. Sa isang iglap ay muling nagdikit ang kanilang mga labi. This time, he moved, so gentle that she felt her mind in shambles. She would never thought that Amor Fati could act like this, maybe later but not this early.
They were even so close that her hand was between her and his chest. She felt like sinning about doing this to an immortal like Amor Fati although she have every right to do so. After all, the Primordial God has tasked her to be his partner, a lover at most or a bestfriend at the least.
"Now, your mind is wandering. Caia, is my attention not enough? Remember that you are the one who started this," biglang sabi ni Amor Fati.
Hindi makatingin ng diretso si Caia sa kanya at napahawak ng mahigpit sa damit ni Amor Fati. Ito lang naman kasi ang makakapitan niya. She felt her knees shaking from embarrasment.
He suddenly formed a smile, but she didn't see it. Of course, he wouldn't smile in front of others, especially not when the effects of dance of the Gods is diminishing. He began coming back to his old, usual self. Binuhat naman niya si Caia at ipinikit ang mga mata nito.
"Sleep well now, my partner," he whispered.
Nagbalik na sa dating hitsura ang kanyang silid at inilagay sa kanyang kama si Caia. Kaya naman niya itong ilagay sa sarili nitong silid ngunit mas makakapagpahinga si Caia ng ayos sa silid niya. Since he's the one turning him into an immortal, she would be accustomed more to this realm with her by his presence.
Isa pa, mas madali ito kumpara kung siya ang lilipat sa silid ni Caia upang magtrabaho.
"This much is easier," he mumbled and closed the door to his room and walked to his office. It's just the room next to his resting quarters anyway.
Samantala, tulog na tulog si Caia na tila walang pakialam kung nasaan siya ngayon. The ritual is short yet it drained all her energy.
