Mari Gold brought them on an arena in her realm before their friendly battle begins. It is necessary to avoid damaging her realm since an immortal's raw strength and magic power is naturally high which can even rip a dimension if left uncontrolled.
"This is Lady Caia's first battle so as a God, you should not fight her directly," panimula ni Mari Gold.
Wala namang nagawa si Agni kung hindi ang tumango. Nilipat niya ang kanyang tingin sa isa sa mga kasama niya. That is why he brought one of his disciples aside from his two messengers.
"Show the demigod about the power of a true immortal, Cyprus," sabi niya.
Tumango naman si Cyprus sa kanya at sinabing, "I will not fail you, my lord."
Samantala, si Caia naman ay kausap sina Osiris at Claude. Dahil mas maraming alam sa kanya ang dalawa ay kinwento nila ang mga kakayaham ni Cyprus. He's one of Agnis' strongest disciple, and he's a warrior that can use blue flames.
"That is good information. And, meron ba kayong maipapahiram na sandata sa akin?" tanong niya.
She doesn't have her blades here and she reckon that it will not work for an immortal.
Sabay naman silang tumango.
"What weapon do you need, Lady Caia? I have a shield, and a bow," sagot ni Osiris.
"While I have spears and swords in me, milady," saad ni Claude.
Isa-isang lumitaw sa harapan niya ang mga sandata nila. Hindi naman nahirapang pumili si Caia dahil alam niya kung anong sandata ang babagay sa kanya. She took a pair of blades, a type of sword she can use for dual wielding. Caia tried swinging it in a random direction.
Nagulat siya sa kakaibang lakas niya. The impact of her swung blade felt like a sharp blade of air.
'So this is what it means to have an immortal's power,' sambit niya.
Hindi naman nagtagal ay nasa gitna na sila nang arena ni Cyprus.
"One, two, three, you may start!"
Nang pagkabanggit niyon ay nakita niya ang mabilis na paglapit ni Cyprus sa kanya. He's holding an axe and everytime he swings it, blue flames appears on its impact.
"Do not be a coward!" sigaw nito.
Umaatras at umiiwas lang kasi si Caia. She is studying his movement first and as well as testing her newfound powers. Her speed is faster and she feels something new in her body. It's flowing in her veins, she can feel it as she began to have her adrenaline rush.
While she's busy evaluating him, Cyprus' swings became more stronger and heavier then earlier. His hair begins to blaze in blue color, the same with his blue eyes. And when his axe finally sliced a part of her waist, a magic circle appeared beneath her feet.
Bigla siyang hindi makagalaw. It's like there is some unknown potent poison in his blades.
"Ahhh!"
Her voice echoed in the arena as she eased the pain from getting attacked at her back for four times.
"That will serve as your mark. And this battle shall end," he uttered.
His attacks formed an x-shaped injury on her back that is still dripping with her blood.
Meanwhile, Caia took all her strength to move and forcefully get out of the magic circle while also enduring the pain on her back.
"You're dead wrong, Cyprus," bulong niya.
A gush of darkness began to envelope around and her body began healing at a quick rate. There's one thing why they gave her the nickname of a reaper back in the mortal world. She's someone who is undefeatable. Caia is a vampire who becomes stronger the more she is injured and as a vampire with high healing traits, she will never die out of blood loss and any injury from an attack.
Her enemies never live to see the day. However, the darkness around her is unfamiliar. She never have that aura before. But since she's in a battle today, she will gladly use this power.
Her blades also went pitch black, and its design changed. It's as if this is not Claude's ownership but hers now.
Then she began moving towards Cyprus in a way that she seems to teleport but it is just her speed. Her bright red eyes shone even brighter yet those eyes looks so cold and evil.
Cyprus couldn't understand why he can't move. The moment he saw a glimpse of her glowing eyes, fear seeped into his existence. As a warrior, he never felt this kind of horror. He wanted to or rather tried to admit defeat but she couldn't seem to hear him.
Caia really didn't notice his silent plea. Her leaking bloodlust went all out and she missed this. This is her dangerous self she's been hiding eversince she stopped reaping bodies. Killing is the only way to weaken it after all, so her family assigned her as their reaper back then.
Her laughter could even be heared as she begin swinging her blades towards Cyprus who tried to avoid it but couldn't. He's sustaining injuries and his blood began dripping in black color when it's supposed to be red.
"Goodbye, Cyprus," she uttered with laughter in her lips.
She jumped high and then launched herself downwards towards Cyprus with her swords pointing at his chest.
Everyone hurried into the stage of the arena even if the battle is not finished. It's because the fight has turned into a slaughter. She is out to kill, and the darkness that is not just around her, but all over the place did not help them to calm down. It's afternoon in Mari Gold's realm yet it looks so dark after Caia released her dangerous aura.
They formed a magic barrier with a combined spell in hopes of countering her attack. Even her messengers helped because this will turn into a huge problem if not prevented.
"Kumalma ka, Caia," sambit ni Mari Gold.
Hindi naman iyon naging sapat upang mapatigil si Caia. When her attack landed, the arena is destroyed and their shield barrier are broken into shattered pieces as if they're glass. Kahit ganoon, nakatulong ito upang mabawasan ang lakas ng impact nito sa kanila. Napatalsik silang lahat ngunit hindi naman sila nagtamo ng malalang mga sugat.
After that attack, Caia stuck one of her sword on the ground for support. Humahangos ang paghinga niya dahil 'di niya inakalang magiging ganito ang mga pangyayari. Her bloodlust is not as worse as this before.
'Being an immortal must have really strengthened it,' isip niya.
Kahit tapos na ang naging laban nila ay nanatili pa ring madilim ang paligid. Sinubukang gawan ng paraan iyon ni Mari Gold ngunit bumabalik lang ang kadiliman ng ilang sandali.
"I should have been her opponent," saad ni Agni. He still wanted to have another battle.
Amidst that, a golden light suddenly shone which is even more brighter than the sun in Mari Gold's realm. Beyond that, the darkness easily dissipated as though it became docile towards the arrival of a certain person.
"What is darkness doing in your realm, Goddess of Flowers, Mari Gold?" he asked sternly.
Sa kabila nito, hindi naman niya alam na ang dahilan ng lahat ay si Caia.
