'Sorry excuse of a human-'
'Dazai you're the reason she's dead.'
'What kind of a brother-'
'No one would want you.'
'Whore'
'Screaming won't do you good-'
'I'm sorry dad please just let me-'
'Dazai! Look what I made for you-'
'Go away you fucking-'
'Just die already, who would want you anyway?'
"That's enough." Dazai called out into the wind, with no one but himself to talk to. He was standing at the top of their building, the roof that was used for maintenance.
It would be so easy to jump. God knows he wouldn't be mourned for too long. Dazai sighed as he stepped down from the ledge, leaning against the railing, taking in the cold, and loving the way it was numbing him up.
His heart was still pounding, that cold grip of fear still sitting uneasy in his stomach. Chuuya hated him.
He fucking hated himself.
Dazai looked at his phone, as the text he'd received from Mori that morning.
Unknown- Hi Dazai-kun. Nice to run into you again, and really nice to meet your friend, Chuuya. That was his name, was it not? I'll set up a meeting with Rimbaud and talk to him regarding this. But I think you should read this, about your new boy. After all, I wouldn't want my son to fall in bad company. Mark your moves carefully Dazai. I can still see.
Unknown- *A5158.dox*
Dazai was still angry when he re-read the text, and he threw his phone on the ground, stomping on it until there was nothing in the place of the glass screen, but powder.
Mori always had to come and ruin everything. His head was hurting from what he'd read in the document. He shouldn't have read it, but Mori's threat was too much. He also knew that Dazai would be curious to know what Chuuya's backstory was.
He'd felt sick after reading it. It had taken all he had to not start crying in front of Chuuya about how unfair it was. Their life had been pathetic, and it was unfair that the one thing Dazai wanted had been taken away from him.
He could still picture Chuuya's face when Dazai had said shit about his past, the way his face had become pale. It was too much, the way Chuuya had hit on jackpot without even knowing what Dazai had done, and what had been done to him.
The skin underneath his Band-Aids ached, and Dazai took in a deep breath.
"I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm fine-" He said, trying to get his breathing to normal. His head was still aching, and he could feel his dinner from last night coming up. Flashes of Mori, Fyodor, Elise and Chuuya flew before his eyes, and his breathing rate increased.
A firework burst in-front of him, and without thinking about it, Dazai covered his ears and ducked, tears already in his eyes.
He blinked, trying to get sense of what was happening. He chuckled weakly. "Get yourself together. It was a firework. God, you useless bastard, what's the use of moping around now?" He told himself. Dazai's voice sounded weak and shaky, like someone who was about to start crying.
He ran his hands through his hair, trying to breathe. It was fine.
By the time he went down, he looked relatively fine, but the other's were pissed. "Dazai! Where have you been?" Kunikida yelled at him, to which Dazai didn't have enough energy to respond.
