The rest of the flight was fine. Chuuya made small talk with Dazai, the air between them never quite comfortable, as it had been before.

They weren't screaming at each other anymore, but it wasn't like before.

Chuuya sighed. It hadn't hit him how bad losing Dazai would be. He was always there, in the background. Sometimes in the foreground too. It wasn't a big deal, really. People came and went. It was something Chuuya was used to.

He was about to watch something on his phone, when he felt something on his shoulder. Not something, but someone. He turned to his side to see Dazai, who had fallen asleep. His body was twisted kind of weirdly, and his cheek was on Chuuya's shoulders.

Dazai's hard was brown and fluffy, and it smelt like...well it smelt like Dazai. Like bandages and shampoo and detergent.

Without really thinking about it, Chuuya inhaled a bit of his scent. Shit, what was he doing? He was supposed to be over Dazai- wait.

When was he ever into Dazai?

Did he- Did he have a crush on Dazai? Chuuya's eyes widened as his jaw unhinged. How had he been so stupid? He had fallen for Dazai, and Dazai had crushed all his hopes of ever being together.

Their fight replayed in his head, and Chuuya couldn't help but think that maybe Dazai did feel the same. He seemed in pain, like his eyes were screaming all the time. It did break Chuuya a little, but it was foolish to bet his heart on something as ridiculous as that.

Chuuya couldn't be waiting for someone who had given him nothing concrete to wait on.

He put his hand to his mouth, letting out a small groan of frustration. "You're gonna be the death of me, Dazai fucking Osamu." He said out loud, but his voice was small. Chuuya barely heard it himself.

His eyes felt drowsy, and before he knew it, he was asleep too.

Dazai woke up when the plane touched the ground, his entire body jerking. He could hear Chuuya mutter out a string of cruses that would've made a medieval nun faint.

"I slept for fucking 6 hours." Chuuya said, with a yawn.

"Yeah, no shit sherlock. I guess my head was just that soft." Dazai said, posing for Chuuya, who threw a paper cup at him. "Oh boo-hoo shut the fuck up." He said.

Dazai laughed and looked out the window.

They weren't gonna be anything like before, and if Nikolai figured out that they were together, he would tell Mori who would, in return make sure that Chuuya never saw Dazai again.

Stupid fucking Mori.

Before taking on Mori, Dazai needed to have Fyodor and Sigma on his team. Fyodor, that motherfucker, probably had more intel on Mori than Dazai had, currently. All he needed was to win him over.

Nothing difficult, just his daily dose of impossibility.

"Hey. C'mon we need to get our luggage." Chuuya called from his side. Dazai looked at him, and was once again struck with how beautiful Chuuya was.

Dazai was sure he looked like a fish with him mouth open, but he didn't really care. "Eye-raping, again? I know I'm pretty but get up." Chuuya said, rolling his eyes, as Dazai laughed.

"I laughed so much I was fucking crying." Atsushi said, still chuckling. "I didn't know." Chuuya huffed out, crossing his arms. The rest of his group had been cackling when Dazai and Chuuya told them about how they'd switched seats and still ended up being seated together.

"That's the level of gay I aspire to be." Higuchi said, and Chuuya turned awkward fast. But not as bad as Dazai was.

"Oh no. I mean, I'm a whore who flirts with every woman I come across." He said with a shrug, and Chuuya was sure he gasped out loud. "Are you shitting me right now?" He asked, and Dazai had that same expression on his face.
