A quarter to eight, Jack came in and said to Sev, "All in order, the Sly table empty and the Common Room full. Everyone is waiting for you."
"You'll see, the same thing will happen as at noon."
"I'm afraid so, or worse, because many have already begun to drink."
"Ugh... I was wrong not to stay downstairs when I arrived, I'm going to die of embarrassment," Sev complained.
"Come on, let yourself be loved, today you have made history, you deserve the recognition. By the way, if you have never drunk and want to hold out for hours, do not drink whiskey, drink beer or wine, but do not mix them either. Better Butterbeer, it's milder than Muggle, and don't drink on an empty stomach."
"Oh, thanks for warning me, Jack, because I don't understand about those things."
"Well, you'll learn, I think that it will not be the only party that we throw from here to the end of the term, people are excited," Jack said.
"Well, then let's go."
They went down and, indeed, people lifted him up on their shoulders again, chanting. "Goodbye forever, vipers!!"
This time, as it has been expected, I am enjoying it more, Sev thought.
When they got tired and put him down, he made his way to the table in front of the window, accompanied by Jack and Ariel. (To a certain extent they protect me from the crowd and from all the people who want to talk to me at the same time. My corner, finally invaded by bottles, I am going to be left without it.)
They ate relatively calmly beside the table, and Sev drank his first Butterbeer in over a year. (At the beginning of the year I didn't have the slightest reserve of magical money, and the two times I went to Hogsmeade with the vipers before Christmas they didn't deign to invite me. And now I have everything in abundance, and they are happy to offer it to me, fifty new friends. Lauren must be moving from one Room aspect to another.
(Jo... there are first and second-year kids drinking too, they shouldn't. At least they're only drinking beer, thank goodness.)
When he finished dinner he started talking to people, especially those he didn't know yet. He started with the sixth and seventh year students who were not studying Defense and had also joined the training in the morning. Everyone regrets not choosing it at the time and is looking forward to fighting. We will have time to train the sixth-years, but the seventh-years won't be able to. Well, if Albus is willing to form an army of non-Auror commandos, they can continue training with us next year, on weekends, and in a year it will give us time to properly instruct them, they are few.
So he said to them, "You can continue coming to train next year, we will continue to do so on weekends."
"Booah... great, Prince," said Brad, the one who had asked him for the Time Turner. "And you were right about the Gryff couple. They are magnificent."
"Yes, they seemed so to me too," this was the seventh-year girl. "Great commanders. Did you already know them?"
"I didn't. I have done it this morning," Sev replied.
"Well, what a success you have had. Those are brave, and not like others. We have found out what they did to you on Thursday, we must take revenge."
Sev thought, Ugh... the rumor has spread around the House, one of the fourteen has said something. I should have warned them about that this morning as well, but maybe if Albus hasn't told me to, it's because he expects us to take the law into our own hands, since he can't do anything. "It's not convenient right now. We must iron out differences between the Houses and be all united, concentrate on training and on the upcoming exams. Let's wait until when they least expect it, so the punishment will be greater."
