it felt good to be back in my bed.

in my dorm.

with my friends.

i was still confused over Draco but didn't know what to say to him.

it wasn't like him to act like this.

it was like he'd forgotten our love for Astoria.

it was very early in the morning and pansy and Alina we're still asleep so i tried my best not to wake them.

i sat down at my desk, the morning light illuminating it enough for me to see.

i pulled out one of my old spell books and flipped through it until i reached a certain one.

the homoeiro curse.

causes a person to forget why they love someone and go for the person who cast the spell.

i bet anything that's what Astoria is using on Draco.

there was only one known way to reverse the spell.

as much as i loved draco, i had to keep focusing on my father.

even if harry had kicked me out of his horcrux hunt there must be something i can do from here.

i couldn't do it alone but i didn't want to bring my friends into it and put them in more danger than they already are.

i sat at my desk for at least another hour before pansy began to wake up.

"morning" i said smiling at her.

"how long have you been up?" she asked as she sat up

"about an hour and a half" i replied

"ugh, why would anyone choose to get up early" she groaned

"i couldn't sleep. but i think i found out what's going on with draco" i replied

"oh?" she questioned

"this" i brought the spell book over to her bed.

"homoeiro curse?" she looked at me confused "i've never heard of it"

"it's a very old spell and is difficult to find but fairly easy to perform" i replied sounding like a bloody dictionary

"and what does this 'homoeiro' curse do?" she asked

"makes a person forget why they love someone and make them go for the person who cast the spell on them" i replied

her eyes opened in realisation.

"that actually makes sense tho. because it was only a few days after you left that draco started going with astoria" she blabbed

my heart dropped now that i knew how long he'd been under the spell and felt guilty for leaving.

"sorry, i guess that's not something you want to hear" she sighed

it's not.

"it's fine." i said brushing it off

"does the book mention how to undo the curse?" she asked

i nodded "there's only one way but it doesn't make sense. show the person why they love you"

"so you have to show draco why he loved you?" she asked "how do you do that?"

"exactly. it's nonsense" i sighed "this was the last thing i expected when i got back."

"i spent the weeks i was away missing him and you guys so much and waiting to see him again and hold him but now he doesn't even like me" i rambled

"it's okay to feel hurt" pansy said

"sorry, the last thing you need is for my problems to weigh on you" i replied

"it's perfectly fine, come here" she said opening her arms

i climbed onto her bed and into her arms.

something about the timing and her kindness snapped me and i found tears falling down my cheeks.

"i've got you" she cooed as she held me
