FOURTY EIGHT

August 31st

this is it.

we go back today.

To a school that will forever be different.

A school that will be full of darkness.

i stood in the living room with Draco as we waited for Snape, Amycus and Alecto.

They soon arrived ready to apparate.

We could only go as far as the forbidden forest because of the apparation barrier around the school.

The same way we had to come the night Dumbledore died.

Snape, Amycus and Alecto apparated and draco took my hand ready to go ourselves.

Narcissa kissed Draco's forehead as we apparated.

we were soon standing in the dark forest.

Amycus and Alecto in front of us.

Snape being headmaster was the only one that could apparate into the actual school.

Draco spelled our trunks to hover behind us as we began walking towards the school.

we walked down the empty halls past the empty rooms and empty great hall to the Slytherin common room.

It was cold as ever in there.

We headed up to our dorms.

I headed into mine and Draco to his.

It looked so blank in there.

Pansy and Alinas beds were plain, the cupboards empty, nothing but silence.

i unpacked my trunk and headed back down to the common room.

i lit the fire to try and warm the place up and headed out.

i made my way to the great hall.

The tables were bare. None of the floating candles were lit. not even the wall lanterns.

pure darkness.

I bumped into Amycus in the hallway.

"watch where your going princess" he cackled

princess.

i shuddered at that name coming from his dirty mouth.

"The other professors have begun arriving, you and Draco are due at a meeting with them in a hour at the great hall" he informed me

"we'll be there" i replied dryly before heading back down the hallway to Dracos dorm.

He had just finished unpacking from the looks of things.

"We have to be in the great hall in an hour" i said

"why?" he asked

"Amycus said something about the professors but i'm not sure why" i replied

he sighed and sat down on his bed.

Things were already so weird and we'd only been back 3 hours.

"come here" he said opening his arms

i walked over and he pulled me into his arms holding me tight.

i wrapped my arms round his head as his was on my stomach.

"i love you" he grumbled into my stomach

"i love you too" i replied kissing his head.

We made our way to the great hall for whatever Snape wanted.

Once we got there all the professors were there, Amycus, Alecto, Snape, McGonagall, Flitwick, Slughorn, Sprout, Hooch, and Trelawney.

All their faces looked defeated and lost as they stood before snape.

They turned to look at me and Draco.

McGonagall gave us a sympathetic look as we walked to Snape.

"Miss Riddle and Mr Malfoy are head girl and head boy. They have authority to be out after hours and to perform magic out of lessons" Snape announced

"You may be wondering who these people are" he said gesturing to Amycus and Alecto

"Professor Amycus carrow for dark arts and Professor Alecto carrow for Muggle studies. they will also be head of Punishments" He continued

head of punishments?

that means my fathers style.

hurting the muggle borns and curses for minor rule breaking.

This school isn't going to be a happy place this year. i know that for certain.

"During your lessons if you have a student misbehaving send them to either Myself, Or one of the carrows" Snape ordered

"harry!" Hermione yelled behind me

we were in the forest trying to destroy the locket horcrux.

i had started a type of vision in the middle of it.

y/n again.

it was clearer this time.

i saw her at Hogwarts covered in blood with her fathers snake circling her.

i still don't know what it means but i know for certain it's important.

But what could Voldemort's daughter have to do with all this?

why was i seeing her with the horcruxes?

how is she connected?

does she know something about the horcruxes?
