Dark daughter ; Draco x y/n

NINETEEN

December 7th

I was packing my stuff for the holidays with pansy and Alina.

"Will you be alright?" Alina asked quietly so pansy didn't hear.

She was referring to my father

"I don't know but I don't have a choice whether I go back or not" I replied

"I hope it all goes ok" she said

"Thanks Alina" I said as I closed my trunk

"Done!" I said

"Also done!" Pansy said

"Me too!" Alina said

"Great let's get going then!" I said

We each floated our trunks down to the train.

We found the boys in a compartment and joined them.

Theo helped us lift our trunks into the rack above.

I took a seat in between Theo and pansy across from Draco.

Astoria soon walked into the compartment.

I made a disgusted face at pansy and she laughed.

Astoria sat annoyingly close to Draco.

This was going to be a long ride.

At least it was an overnight journey so I could sleep through it.

We we're arriving at King's Cross at 7am and it was 10pm now.

I wore grey tracksuit bottoms and a white long sleeve top so that I would be comfy.

The train set off and I put my headphones in to listen to music.

I leant my head on Theo's shoulder as he watched out the window.

He and Blaise fell asleep about 2 hours in.

I decided to go to sleep as well so that I would have enough energy to deal with my father if I had to.

Pansy let me rest my head in her lap. Theo woke up to a slight jolt in the tracks and saw I was curled up and pulled my legs onto his lap so that I was comfy.

I knew he knew why I wanted a good night sleep.

Draco pov:

Everyone but me pansy and Astoria were asleep now.

Astoria had gone to talk to her sister so I was left with pansy.

I found myself watching y/n sleep In her lap.

She looked so peaceful.

And beautiful.

"You made a huge mistake you know" pansy said and I looked up at her

"Letting her go, she loves you and it's killing her to see you with Astoria so soon after you broke up with her. She would never have done that to you" she added

"I know, it's for her own good and this isn't how I saw things going" i responded

"What do you mean you didn't see things going this way?" She asked

"I didn't plan on getting with Astoria but after I broke up with her it was too hard to be alone so I filled my time with Astoria" I said

"So your using her?" She asked

"Technically, she agreed to it as she wanted to make her ex Marcus flint jealous so it was a win win" I replied

Astoria came back unknowingly putting a stopper on our conversation going any further.

Y/n pov:

I woke up on the train first.

I was still asleep in pansys lap but she was now asleep resting on Blaise.

I slowly removed my legs off Theo and lifted my head not waking either of them up.

Draco was asleep against the wall as far away from Astoria as possible.

She was next to Alina who was softly snoring against the window.

I picked up Alinas fashion magazine and began reading.

Blaise was the first to wake up after me.

He stretched out and saw that pansy was against him and kissed the top of her head.

"Morning" he whispered at me

"Morning" I whispered back

"I'm going to go get some coffee want some?" He asked

"Sure thanks" I replied and he left to get some.

Whilst he was gone Theo and pansy woke up.

Blaise came back with the coffee and ended up sharing his with pansy.

I ended up sharing mine with Theo as well.

The others woke up just before we reached King's Cross.

We had 10 minutes before we arrived so did a quick present exchange.

We all agreed not to open them until Christmas Day tho.

The train pulled into the busy platform buzzing with parents.

We gathered our stuff into our trunks and got off the train.

Narcissa was waiting for Draco and I.

She gave Draco a brief hug

"It's good to see you y/n!" she said smiling at me

"It's good to see you to cissy" I said

She held out her arms and me and Draco took them.

We apparated back to the manor.

Lucius had been put into Azkaban so it was just us 3.

The tall familiar doors were standing before us.

They were pulled open by a house elf and we entered the house.

Two more elves took our trunks to our rooms whilst we followed narcissa to the kitchen.

"Are you hungry? I had the elves prepared a breakfast incase you were" she said gesturing to the plates

"Thank you" Draco and I said and tucked into the food.

"How's school been with everything going on? Have you made progress?" She asked

"We have, the cabinet is almost done and we did something towards the Dumbledore situation the other day" Draco answered

"How about Severus? Has he been assisting you?" She asked

"He's been trying but we don't need him" draco said

"I only did it because I wanted you to be safe" narcissa said

"And I'm grateful for that" draco said

Narcissa smiled

"I received both of your end of term reports, draco you got second highest in all of your subjects I'm very proud and y/n you got first in potions, third in dada, herbology, charms and transfiguration and got 9th in muggle studies, I'm very impressed" she said

"I only got low In muggle studies because it's pointless and I can't be bothered" I replied

"That's alright you don't need to be perfect at everything" she said

"Also your father is conducting a meeting tonight to discuss a raid he wishes to do over Christmas and to discuss your progress" she added

My heart sunk knowing I had to see my father.

I had a feeling it would be today but I was hoping it wasn't.

"When does it start?" I asked

"7pm" she replied giving me a knowing smile

Draco and I finished our food before heading to our rooms to unpack.

I located my trunk and unloaded my stuff.

I took a long shower and layed my outfit out on my bed for later.
