THIRTY TWO

January 24th

Me and Draco were the first ones to breakfast and the post was coming in.

I was surprised when my owl dropped me a letter.

It was a black envelope with a black seal.

I opened it and began reading.

My daughter y/n

I am pleased to hear that you have mended the vanishing cabinet however Severus has informed me that you have failed to kill Albus Dumbledore for the second time. I am therefore forced to take matters into my own hands. On June 30th when the others come through the vanishing cabinet either you or Draco shall kill albus Dumbledore my way. You know the consequences if you fail again.

My hands were physically shaking as I passed the letter to Draco.

"What does he mean my way?" Draco asked

"He means kill him how he kills people" I whispered so I wasn't overheard by other Slytherins.

"Is he serious?" He asked

"I don't think he would lie about this" I replied

"Holy fuck" Draco said

"June 30th so we have just over 5 months to prepare" I said

"5 months until everything changes" I added

The others joined us at the table so we had to pause our conversation.

Draco slid me back the letter under the table and I stuffed it in my pocket.

My mind was spinning, I needed to get out of there.

I got up not saying a word to anyone and left.

I found myself in the room of requirements.

Nobody would look for me here.

I layed down on the couch by the cabinet playing about with the 'flagrate' charm

It allows a person to write or draw stuff in the air.

I think I was doing that for around 30 minutes before I heard the doors open.

Nobody ever comes in here.

I got up and hid behind a pile of chairs to see it was Harry and Ginny.

They began walking through the piles of junk.

I could see they were holding hands.

Did they have a thing together?

"We need to hide the half blood princes book" I heard Ginny say

What was that?

"Where no one will ever find it" she added

I crept round more piles of stuff to continue listening in on them

I accidentally kicked a pot and they both looked around.

"What was that?" They said in unison

I ducked so they couldn't see me.

They carried on walking until they came to the vanishing cabinet.

Shit.

Me and Draco have things on the table next to it.

Ginny walked up to it pulling off the fabric we had draped over it.

Harry opened it.

"It's just an empty cupboard" he said

She moved closer to him and took the book as she pressed her lips to his.

She told him to close his eyes as she backed away.

She walked round the room and stashed the book in an old chest.

She made her way back to Harry and I went for the chest.

I opened it and took the book out.

It was a potion making book.

I heard the two of them leave and I made my way back to the couch I was on before.

I opened it to find a bunch of potion recipes that had been modified by the owner.

I continued reading until I came to a section on spells.

There was one called sectumsemptra.

The description was slain by a sword. The victim will bleed out to death if counter curse 'vulnera senentur' isn't repeated above the victim.

Holy shit.

This was the spell Harry used on Draco.

He could've killed him if it wasn't for Snape!

But how did Snape know what to do unless he's read the book?

Now that I think about it the book does look old and I know that Snape is a half-blood.

Is Snape the half blood prince?

Did he make this book?

If he is that means he's created his own defensive spells.

Why would he need them?

I shut the book and put it down on the table.

Why is everything happening in the last few months?

God this is stressful.

How am I or Draco meant to kill somebody.

I can't even imagine.

Why the hell is my father so deranged?
