Slughorns party was tonight.

I don't know if I can survive another one of his gatherings without falling asleep from boredom.

Still I had to go to make sure Draco wasn't disturbed planting the laced mead.

I got dressed into a short, tight, long sleeve sparkly, silver dress with white heels.

I straightened my hair and stuffed my wand into a hidden pocket.

I was going to the party alone as I didn't have a date.

I made my way to the party and instantly wanted to leave.

It was full of Gryffindors.

I was one of the only Slytherins.

I braced myself and headed to the drinks table.

There was only soft drinks obviously so I got a lemonade.

I checked the time, 8:27pm

Draco was planting the mead at 8:30

I located slughorn and made sure to keep close to him incase I needed to distract him.

I stood near him for 10 minutes before I deemed it safe to leave.

Just as I was about to walk out the door Filtch burst in dragging draco with him.

My heart sped up thinking he had been caught but the bottle wasn't with him.

"Professor slughorn sir I just discovered this one lurking outside he claims to have been coming to your party" Filtch said to him

"He wasn't on my list" slughorn started

Draco stared deeply into my eyes and I knew I had to do something.

"It's alright professor I brought him as my date" I said walking over

"Ah I see, we'll that solves that then, not to worry everyone as you were!" Slughorn said and Filtch let go of Draco giving me a dirty look.

"Thank you" draco said to me

"We're in this together it was my right" I said

Snape burst over to us

"You two, outside now" he demanded

"Certainly professor" draco sneered and we followed Snape out

He took us to an empty corridor

"What might I ask was that? I know you weren't there to be miss riddles date" he interrogated

"I was dealing with our task" Draco shot back

"You can't be this reckless I told you before, don't get seen!" Snape insisted

"You were lucky this time" he added

"Of course professor" Draco mocked

"Your making it very difficult to protect you" Snape said

"We don't need your protection" draco sneered

"I made the unbreakable vow!" Snape replied

"We know!" Draco said

"Then you understand why" Snape said

"Yes professor" draco said

Snape turned and walked away swiftly.

"Did you plant it?" I asked

"Yes, Filtch didn't catch me if that's what your wondering" he answered

"Good" I replied

"Fingers crossed this works" I added

"It'd better" he said

"A lot is at risk if it doesn't" he said

"I know" i replied

"We need to finish the cabinet after Christmas as well" he said

"And we will don't worry" I said placing a reassuring hand on his arm.
