(I've decided that we need a more in depth private practice with Oliver so all my Oliver people you are welcome! Also please don't hate me but for the story I will be moving Oliver down to a third year with Fred and George instead of his actual year. Y'all can hate me later but I don't want to have to rush our precious time with him! Thank you for understanding!)

Y/N's POV

We mounted our brooms and flew up into the air. I had the quaffle with me and I flew toward Oliver and threw the quaffle towards one of the hoops. Oliver blocked it with his broom and gave me a smirk. "Come on I cant go too easy on you can I?" I let out a laugh and chased after the quaffle. I started throwing the quaffle in the air and catching it trying to psych out Oliver but let me tell you that man took Quidditch seriously! I quickly spun around on my broom and threw the quaffle again giving it a lot more force. Oliver caught it but the power behind my throw threw him and his broom back a little and all I could do was laugh. "Oi! Y/N! You have a good throw there!" I just kept laughing. "What did you underestimate me Wood?" He shook his head and threw the quaffle back at me. I caught it with one hand and we kept it going for a while just laughing back and forth. I had a blast playing with Oliver. I didn't get a chance to score but that was about to change. I had an idea! I had a good arm and I had to use it! I flew all the way to the right and Oliver not leaving eye contact with me and I threw it as hard as I could to the hoop on the left and before I knew it, it actually went in!

My jaw dropped and Oliver stood still stunned. "Woohoo!!!" I screamed as I flew around the pitch! "You just got lucky that's all!" Oliver said as he landed on the ground. "I don't think luck has anything to do with it! I think I'm just better than you!" I said with a cocky smile as I land next to Oliver. Oliver wraps his arm around my shoulder after we both dismount our brooms. "You got one shot in. Don't let it go to your head!" I smiled as I looked at him and I booped his nose. "Too late!" I laugh a little. "And besides how many first years can say that they scored against the Oliver Wood!" "Ya. Ya. Ya." He shakes his head and wraps his arms around my waist. I just look up at him and smile. His chocolate brown eyes staring into mine. I could feel my heart racing. He bites his lip and starts to lean down. My heartrate going even faster as I lean up but before we make contact we are interrupted by a group of laughter headed towards us. Oliver quickly pushes me away and goes and gets a drink of water.

Oliver's POV

This is it! I was about to kiss Y/N! I wrapped my arms around her and started leaning in but we were interrupted by a group of laughter. I pushed Y/N away and went and got a drink of water. I can't believe that just happened. Well almost happened. My heart is still racing from being so close to Y/N. I hope I didn't mess everything up by not kissing her. I probably did. Why am I so stupid? I hope Y/N understands why I pulled away.

I hear the group of laughter come closer and I see that it's the whole Gryffindor team walking to the pitch. I look at everyone confused and a little mad they interrupted me and Y/N. "Guys what are you doing here? We don't have practice today." Angelina looks at me. "Fred thought it would be fun to get the whole team out here and have a practice game together." I look at her even more confused. "Fred? Fred Weasley? The same Fred Weasley who can't even show up on time?" "Oi! I can show up on time! I just choose not to besides I thought it would be better practice for Y/N to actually practice being a seeker. Especially against someone else." I shrugged. "Ehhhh I guess you are right." Y/N comes back from getting water and runs to hug Fred when she sees everyone. Ouch! She didn't get that excited to see me. "So how do we want to split up the teams?" I look at Y/N hoping she would want to be on my team but as I open my mouth to say something Angelina buts in. "How about the two seekers choose teams? They are both new and that way one team isn't more stacked than the other!" Everyone seems to love her idea. I just hope for the love of Merlin that Y/N chooses me!

The teams got divided up and I was on Harry's team. Our team consisted of Harry, George, Alicia and me. Y/N's team had Y/N, Fred, Angelina and since we didn't have another Keeper they brought in Cormac who has desperately been trying to take my place. Now that both teams had one person for each position we were ready to start our practice match. Y/N stayed in the ground to release the balls while everyone else got into position. Y/N had the biggest smile on her face. You could tell she loved to play. You could see it in her eyes when she's on her broom. She might even love it just as much as I do. Impossible I know! She released all the balls and the game had started. It was kinda hard to focus when I am playing against Y/N but I had to. The team can't know I have another weakness.

Y/N flew off with Harry to catch the Snitch so now my head could be entirely in the game. I refused to let Angelina score. I blocked everything that came my way. Cormac was also doing pretty good. He might actually be a good replacement for me after all or at least a reserve player. Fred and George were off playing with the bludger together. They were actually pretty good when they wanted to be. Seems like I'm not the only one trying to impress someone here! I had to stand out! Angelina threw the quaffle towards the hoops as I was lost in thought and I quickly knocked it away with my broom. I looked Y/N to see if she saw it and she just had a huge smile on her face. After a while I heard Y/N cheering. She caught the snitch! She looked so happy! Everyone landed and got off their brooms and I ran to Y/N just to see her already in Fred's arms. Fred was spinning her around and then put her on her shoulder like she just won the Quidditch Cup. I was happy for Y/N even though it meant that I lost but oddly enough I didn't mind!
