I got changed and put my hair into a ponytail. I was so excited to have the chance to be on the Quidditch team again! I grabbed my broom and ran to the pitch. It felt surreal to be back here. I got there extra early so I could run some practice drills. I wasn't able to fly or play Quidditch while I was in America. I took off from the ground and you couldn't even tell that I took a year off. I was running all the old drills that Davies used to make us do in my first year. When I was in the air, nothing else mattered to me.

In this moment alone, I had forgotten all about Aunt Cressida and her medical issues. I forgot all about the struggles I have to face when I'm at the manor. I felt free when I was in the air. I felt untouchable. I knew this season was going to be amazing. I just hope Davies didn't find someone better to replace me last year. I kept running speed drills and evasive drills. I don't know how it was possible but I somehow got even faster than before. I did these drills over and over with a smile on my face. I didn't mind all the physical activity involved in Quidditch. I quite enjoyed it actually.

After some time, Davies comes to the pitch. He's getting ready for the tryouts. I wanted to ask him if he found someone better than me, but I knew if he did, I would find out soon. I finished with a lap around the pitch and I noticed Davies was staring at me. I landed and smiled at him. "Sorry, I wanted to have a little bit more of a warm-up. Especially after having such a long break." I was worried Davies was going to be mad, but he wasn't instead a smile grew on his face. "No problem at all, Y/N, glad you're back." He patted my back and went to set up for tryouts. I sat on the sidelines, waiting for everyone else to show up.

Everyone else slowly started showing up for tryouts. There was surprisingly a lot more people here than I thought there was going to be. I was starting to get worried. What if I wasn't good enough? What if there was someone better than me? I was starting to get in my own head and it was definitely freaking me out a little bit. I started stretching off to the side away from everyone. I was also scanning the crowd seeing if I recognized anyone. Finally, I saw Cho and I ran over to her and gave her a big hug. I knew I could nail these tryouts as long as I had Cho by my side!

(Sorry I have been gone for so long. Life got in the way! I am going to try to get you some more chapters soon!)
