The Unexpected Twin

Fred's POV

I haven't seen Y/N since the night she told me she got on the Quddich team. I really hoped I didn't make things awkward between us. Weirdly enough I actually kind of missed her. I was playing more pranks with George than usual. Mostly on Ravenclaws trying to get closer to Y/N. But no matter what prank we did on what student I went the whole weekend without seeing her. It was finally Monday morning and even though Y/N had Quddich practice I hoped I would see her at meals. I didn't know what she was feeling but I haven't seen her in the Great Hall since she ran out. When I didn't see her at Breakfast or Lunch today either I decided to go talk to Cho. Luckily I had a couple classes with her. I went over and sat next to Cho in class. She looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "You best not be here to get me in trouble Fred!" I smirked at her. "You wish! Actually I was wondering about Y/N." She completely turned to face me. "What do you wanna know?" She said as she puts her arms on the table and rests her face on her knuckles. I rub the back of my head. "Um... I kinda noticed she hasn't been at any meals all weekend and she wasn't at breakfast or lunch and I just wanted to know if she is okay?" She smiles. "She's just been studying in the library all weekend and she was busy with Oliver all day." My eyes darted at her. "Why is she with Oliver????" I asked angrily. She giggled a bit. "Why jealous or something?" I scoff "Me jealous? Of course not!" She shrugs "okay whatever." I look back at her. "But can you please make sure she comes to dinner tonight?" She sighs. "I will try my best Fred." "Thank you!" I get up and start to walk back to my seat. "But you owe me for this!" Cho screams at me.

At dinner I sat at my normal spot at the Gryffindor table and every now and again I would peak over to see if Cho fulfilled her promise. After a while I sighed and gave up. Y/N wasn't coming. I was getting really worried about her and then I saw the door open and  it was none other than Cho and Y/N. I looked over and smiled. I went back to my food. I didn't want to overwhelm Y/N so I was just going to talk to her after dinner.

I look up and see Oliver staring at someone not touching his food which wasn't normal. "Yo Oliver! Who you staring at?" I ask as I follow his gaze to the Ravenclaw table. My jaw drops as I realize he's staring at Y/N. I turn back. "Oliver you  fancy a Ravenclaw?" George says messing around with him. Oliver leans his cheek on his hand. "You should've seen her during practice. She is so fierce." Oliver said in a love drunk tone of voice. "Practice? But we didn't have practice to-" I stopped mid sentence. He was talking about Y/N! My hand clenched into a fist under the table. George must've noticed because he was the next to speak. "Well if she is a Ravenclaw there can't be that much special about her." I looked at George and gave him a look he was the only one who knew that I liked Y/N and it was technically his fault that things are awkward between us. "Keep dreaming Wood. She's a quiet one." I tried to chuckle making my anger unnoticeable. Oliver finally stopped staring and looked at me. "I think she's exactly my type and you know what I think I might ask her out!" George and my jaws dropped "WHAT?!?!?" We whisper shouted in unison. "I mean look at her with Cho! She's absolutely perfect!" He wasn't wrong she really was perfect. "Excuse me." I got up and stormed out. I couldn't hear about this any longer. Did Y/N like Oliver as well? Did the girl I actually like have feelings for my best friend? There's no way! Y/N wouldn't lead me on like that! I mean we did almost kiss! Y/N wasn't that kind of person. Was she?
