Y/N's POV

It's been a week since the Quidditch match and everyone is still raving about Gryffindors win over Slytherin but today was my turn to shine! It was my very first Quidditch match! Ravenclaw vs Hufflepuff!

I took out my Quidditch notes and started reviewing them before the match tonight. Cho walks in freaking out. I look up at her. "Hey. Hey. Hey. Breathe and tell me what's wrong." Cho sits on my bed and takes a deep breath. "I'm just worried about the match today. We are up against Hufflepuff and I know statistically we should be able to beat them no problem but I kinda like one of the guys on the other team and I'm scared I'm either gonna embarrass myself in front of him or let the whole team down." I put down my notes and Cho lays her head on my lap and I start to run my fingers through her hair. "It will be okay Cho. No matter what happens you can't let me down and besides if a man lets a little Quidditch match get in between you two maybe he isn't the one. Besides what's the point of Quidditch if you aren't having fun." Cho took a deep breath and sits up. "You know what you are so right Y/N!!! Why do I even care about what Davies and Cedric think! I-" She immediately covers her mouth after she realized she told me her crush. My jaw dropped "Cedric?!?! You have a crush on Cedric Diggory?!?!" She starts playfully hitting me. "Shut up!!! You cannot tell anyone!!!" I laughed a little. "Okay! Okay! I won't tell anyone! I promise!"

After a while of sitting with Cho I decided I wanted to relive some stress and go see if the twins wanna set up a prank. I start walking around the castle looking for the twins and I run into someone and I end up falling. "Hey watch it!" I yelled as I looked up to see who it was. It was Oliver. He stretched his hand out and I took it as he helped me up. "I'm sorry about being in your way Y/N." He said with a smile. "Oh Oliver! Im sorry I didn't mean to yell." I smiled back at him. "Where are you off too in such a hurry?" His thick accent melted like honey to my ears. His chocolate brown eyes looking into mine. "Oh! I was looking for the twins. I was gonna see if I could do a prank with them befo-" Oliver interrupted me. "Before your big match in a couple hours. How are you feeling about it by the way? I remember being nervous during my first match." He finally let go of my hand and put his arm around my shoulder as we started walking around the castle. "There's no way you, the amazing Oliver Wood, was nervous during Quidditch!" He chuckled. "Well I was! But I don't remember too much. I took a Buldger to the head 2 minutes in and I woke up in the hospital wing a week later." I playfully hit him. "Thank you that helped so much!" I said sarcastically.

Davies ran into Oliver and me. "Fraternizing with the enemy are we Y/N?" He says with a laugh. I playfully push Davies. "Oh totally!" I say sarcastically. "Y/N was just trying to destress before the match." Oliver added. "Well it's time to go start warm ups. Come on Y/N." Davies says as he walks away. "I guess I'll see you later than Wood." I smile at Oliver. "And thanks for helping me calm my nerves!" Oliver smiles back. "Go get 'em champ! I'll be watching from the stands."

I run to the locker room to get changed into my Quidditch gear. I was sitting on the bench while I was putting my hair up. Cho walks in and I can tell she is still super nervous. She sits down on the bench next to me and I start to brush her hair and put it up into a ponytail. We had a comfortable silence until Davies bursts in saying it's time to get on the pitch and stretch. We both grab our brooms and smile at each other and for no reason we just burst out in laughter.

Davies had everyone run drills except for me. He had me doing laps around the pitch. He called everyone back into the locker rooms for a motivational speech before the game. I didn't pay attention to it all I worried about was remaining calm. Chi smacked my arm for not listening but I didn't really care. After Davies finished his speech I went over to my locker and grabbed a pair of ear plugs and put them in my ears. Before we walked out to the pitch I gave my necklace a kiss for good luck and then we all got into formation.

I looked at the Gryffindor stand looking for Fred but I didn't see him anywhere. I did find Oliver tho and he gave me a big thumbs up and mouthed 'it's gonna be okay!' I gave him a soft smile. He was such a sweet boy. I looked over at the Ravenclaw stand and saw Luna cheering for me even tho the match hasn't started yet. I definitely got lucky in the best friend department. I just wish Fred was here.

Madam Hooch released the balls and the game begins. Cedric and I begin to fly around the pitch looking for the snitch. I see the golden snitch and I bolt after it. I hear tons of muffled cheers but my attention stays on the snitch. The snitch gains speed and disappears. I smack my broom and look around. I find the snitch again and Cedric bolts toward it and I do the same. I quickly speed up and pass Cedric. I reach out to try to grab the snitch and I graze it. I stand on my broom and reach for it and without wasting too much time Cedric rams into me knocking me off my broom. I start to fall but then quickly saved by Cho. I feel something squirming in my hand and I open it and realized I CAUGHT THE SNITCH!!! I raise it up high and Cho circles the pitch with me on her broom in victory. I hear muffled screams and I look around and I see Fred cheering me on and pointing at the sky. I look up to see fireworks lighting up in the sky. I look at it mesmerized. Ravenclaw colors fill the sky and at the very end a firework goes off that has my number. Cho took us to the ground and as I got off her broom I was quickly raised into the air. I just won the game for us! I have never been prouder of myself. I look around to see all my friends cheering with me. I was so happy! What could be better than this!
