Sitting at my vanity, I had curlers in my hair, each strand perfectly coiled and glistening under the soft lighting. I was adorned in a delicate pink satin robe that felt like a soft, luxurious cloud embracing my form. The robe's pink hue radiated warmth against my skin, and the fuzzy cuffs added a cozy, intimate touch. Its satin fabric flowed gracefully, gently caressing my body as I prepared for the evening ahead.
The gentle voice of Alex Turner filled the room, his lyrics to 'Baby I'm Yours' a soothing accompaniment to my preparations, setting a romantic atmosphere for the night ahead.
With the enchanting melody in the background, I focused on my makeup. I applied a touch of foundation to create a flawless canvas, followed by a subtle dusting of rosy blush on my cheeks, giving my face a healthy, natural glow.
The fake lashes I had chosen were elegant and not overly long, enhancing my eyes without being too dramatic. I carefully applied them to my lash line, ensuring they blended seamlessly with my own lashes.
For my eyes, I opted for a soft, neutral eyeshadow palette, emphasizing my natural features with shades that complemented my eye color. To add a touch of mystique, I used a forrest green eye shadow as liner along my eyelids, which beautifully highlighted the color of my sage eyes and added a captivating charm to my look. I paired this with a subtle black winged eyeliner added a touch of sophistication.
I finished off my look with a nude matte red lipstick, a timeless choice that exuded class and confidence. My reflection in the mirror revealed a poised, elegant version of myself, ready for the evening with Chris.
After completing my makeup, I reached for my phone to check the time. As I did, a new message notification caught my attention. It was from Chris. I opened it eagerly, my heart fluttering.
"𝘩𝘦𝘺, 𝘈𝘳𝘢," his message began, "𝘕𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘶. 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘴"
I couldn't contain the warmth that spread through me as I read his text, a genuine smile gracing my lips. His words were like a comforting embrace. With anticipation bubbling in my chest, I typed my reply, each word chosen with care.
My thumb hovered over the screen, gently tapping out my response. "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘺?" I inquired, curiosity lacing my message. I reread the text and winced slightly at the ending. "𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘌𝘝𝘌𝘙 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘳."
"𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘦"
As I sat on the edge of my bed, my entire focus engrossed in the virtual exchange with Chris, I couldn't help but let out an amused snort. "𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭𝘴 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮, 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶"
Chris's messages flowed into my screen, each word an invitation into our shared world. "𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘪𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦"
