❤️Three: An abandoned garden ❤️

Enzo seemed frustrated as he paced up and down. He ran his hands through his hair occasionally as he sipped from his bottle of traditional wine.

He was now married! He had been informed as soon as his father arrived to prepare a "royal welcome" for his new bride!

"Calm down brother! At any rate now you'd be passed out cold even before you get to meet your new bride" Luca joked

Enzo made no remark. If Luca wasn't his brother, he'd be dead by now.

"I cannot believe that the mere idea of marriage has you looking like a lost puppy! You are the most ruthless man I have ever seen... What unsettles you about marriages?" Luca asked concern

"I share no sentiments like the rest of you! I do not believe in marriage!" Enzo replied speaking up for the first time

"Are you worried that she may not be beautiful as your other women?" Luca asked and Enzo stared at him as if deliberating whether to kill him or not

"That is the least of my worries" Enzo answered

"Then you need not worry! All father needs is for his line to be secured, your duty is to make sure she is with child before the end of the season" Luca said sipping from Enzo's bottle

"I'd be damned if I touched her! Regardless! Why does father need me to secure his line? You're the heir!" Enzo vexed

"And you're second in command! If something happens to me you'd be next for the throne" Luca replied

" I do not care for the throne! Your wife is with child!! The line is already secured! " Enzo continued to rant

" Your fate is already decided brother! Your bride has almost arrived! " Luca joked

Enzo gave him a death stare... It was times like this he hated Luca

They heard the royal trumpet blow

Luca stood up .. Amelia had arrived

" I know this is an unexpected turn but it is your duty to the throne" Luca patted him on the shoulder before walking away

Enzo gulped the wine he was holding before letting out a frustrated sigh

As Amelia was being escorted into the large royal hall, she found herself in awe of the beauty her eyes were determined to behold. Basthood was larger than she had expected and the castle was three times larger than her father's castle. She couldn't help but fall in love with the scenery that fed her eyes. It was beautiful and homely.. she loved the atmosphere it offered.

She looked around in admiration as the servants conveyed her luggages to the left wing of the Palace.. she was lost in the beauty of what was before her.

She heard a cough.. it was the king... He stood with his wives and other sons

Amelia scanned through the men to guess which of them would be Enzo but it was impossible.. one thing she noticed was that they were all very good looking men and they somewhat looked upon her with sympathy. An emotio she did not understand. She was lost in her thoughts when the king called her again

"We are pleased to Welcome you to Basthood, home of peace and love and might we say, we are pleased to have you as one of us" the king said and she simply gave a smile. She was dying to know who her husband was..

"This is my eldest son and heir. Prince Luca and his wife Princess Eleanor "

Amelia bowed

" Prince Aldo, Prince Dario and Prince Kyle... And their wives" the king introduced as they bowed
