We got to Rixon's cove.
We all sat on some logs or on the sand around a small fire we made. We hung out and talked, but I still had that gut wrenching feeling in my stomach.
I guess it showed clearly on my face because Pope moved closer and sat next me with a worried look on his.
"Hey, y/n, you okay?" Pope said softly.
I turned to look at him then nodded with a reassuring smile that turned out to be not so reassuring.
"Really? You don't look too happy? What's wrong?" Pope asked
I sighed softly and looked at him again. I glanced at the others, making sure they were distracted enough to ignore my conversation.
"My dad...he only knows about what I told him you guys were..I told him you're all nice, and funny, and...respectful. I never really told him...the bad stuff..you know?" I said slightly embarrassed but honestly.
Pope nodded and smiled
"Don't worry, I did the same in the beginning, eventually my dad caught on and then we just stopped sneaking out secretly and did it in his face. Obviously he's not the proudest of me, which I don't blame him...but I get it. You're like me in a way." Pope said
I felt a little better but I still couldn't shake that disappointment of my father off. It felt like straight up betrayal.
The others soon noticed we didn't join in on the conversation so they looked towards us.
"Wha'cha doin'?" JJ said
Pope and I immediately looked towards him and then glanced at each other before replying "Nothing" We said in unison.
JJ gave a knowing look before chuckling.
We all talked some more before heading home.
That's what I dreaded the most.
Kiara ended up driving the boys and then made her way to figure eight. I felt my stomach begin to twist and my face apparently reflected that.
"Don't worry. You'll be fine." Kiara whispered
"I already know he's gonna be fuming" i mumbled with a frown.
"If anything, he knows it's your first time doing this, so he wouldn't be as mad. I hope" Kiara said as she kept glancing at me and then the road
"Not exactly helping, but thanks" i said before she pulled into my driveway. "Thanks, Kie."
"Anytime. Let me know how it goes." Kiara said
"Will do." i said as i hopped out of the car and walked to the front door.
I took a deep breath before opening the door and when i walked in I saw my dad in the living room on his phone and then he turned once he heard the front door creak open.
"She's home. I'll talk to you later." My dad said hurriedly and then hung up, staring at me with...I couldn't even describe what emotions he felt.
"W-what-...what the hell? Why did you run off like that? Why didn't you answer any of my calls or texts? I called you, I was worried. Look at the time! Are you insane y/n? What has gotten into you young lady?" My dad spat in a tone i've never heard him speak in.
"I'm sorry. My phone..it died and I didn't get any of your calls or messages." I said, the words all too familiar, also feeling like I was shrinking into something so small that represented how I felt.
"You're sorry? If you were worried about being sorry you wouldn't have run off. I called Ward, I called Kiara's father and-...and who were those guys?" He said as if he had almost forgotten that the guys were there too
