I walked to the front of my house to find a paper sitting on my porch right in front of my door. I picked it up and read it.

I got home about an hour after JJ was arrested. Something i have never witnessed and never thought I would, happened right before my eyes. And it was someone I knew. Not just some person on the road that got pulled over or someone walking out of a crime scene.
I was perplexed to say the most. I walked into my house and my dad was standing in the living room with his phone in his hand. As he looked up at the front door he sighed and walked over to me.
"y/n!? I called you three times and no answer!" My dad said as he placed his hands on my shoulders and his face was full of worry.
"Sorry dad...my phone died and there was no where to charge it." I said making my excuse as believable as possible. "Wait..i thought you went to work?" i asked changing the subject.
"My boss said we had off the rest of the day because of Midsummers? I have no idea what it is but I guess we're going because Ward called me not long ago and told me about it. It's this fancy event that they do every year." My dad said as he waved his hands around as he spoke.
"Oh..what time is it at?" I asked
"I think at 5? It's 1 now so we still have time" My dad said making sure I knew I didn't have to rush.
We walked to the kitchen and had some lunch together as he told me some things about work and I told him about my new friends. Obviously I didn't tell him about the trouble they got into. Especially with JJ getting arrested just now, and me being an accomplice to sinking Toppers boat.
If I told him that, I'd never see their faces again.
I went to my room and took a nap and once i woke up i got in the shower. After my shower it was almost 4 so I decided to start getting ready.
I looked through some dresses I had and decided on the one that Sarah had bought for me when I first moved in.

I put the dress on and admired the color as I looked in the mirror the vibrant yet mysterious color of the dress made me praise it in a way I never thought I could praise something.
I curled my hair and put it in a ponytail with some strands out in the front and a small white flower branch hair accessory where my hair was put up.
I did some light makeup nothing too special just Mascara, blush, some lipgloss and I fixed up my eyebrows a bit. I put on some matching earrings and a necklace along with a bracelet that was my grandmothers.
I looked at myself in the mirror and noted the time. It was now 4:52 and I was ready. I walked downstairs and my dad smiled when he saw me. He was wearing a black suit and tie and looked very fancy.
"There she is!" My dad said with a smile. I smiled and walked towards him "You look great dad" i said with a smile .
"You look amazing honey" My dad said with a genuine grin on his face.
