Chapter 20: Lover

Carina's POV:  

Maya and I were in the kitchen making dinner together when Rowan walked in with Sofia. "How was the movie girls?" I looked at both of them with a smile on my face. "It was really good!" The little blonde beamed. "I'm glad." I continue making dinner. "Can Sofia stay over tonight?" Rowan asks. "I don't see why not?" I look at Maya. "Hmm.. sure but no kissing." She says seriously. "Eww Mom! Why would you even say that.." Ro makes a sour face. I chuckle as I watch both of the girls go up to the little blonde's room.

"I don't want our little girl to grow up.." My wife sighed. "She only has 3 more years till highschool." I looked at her. "Carina don't remind me!" She groans. "Sorry bambina but it's true.." I hug her. She weakly smiles. "Yeah I guess." Maya lays her head on my shoulder.

Maya's POV:

"Girls, dinner is ready!" I yell. Rowan and Sofia run downstairs. "Oooh what did you guys make?" The little blonde's face lights up. "Mama and I made home-made pasta." I smile. "Oooh yummy!" She runs to the dinning table and sits down.

We all sit down to ear dinner. "So how was school today?" I look at the two eleven year olds sitting next to each other. "It was good." Rowan starts eating. "Is there something you aren't telling us?" Carina raises her eyebrows. "I uh..I want to join the softball team." Rowan spits out. "Oh, wow." I was surprised. "Is that a bad thing?" She asks. "No it's not I am just surprised that's all." I took a sip of my water. "So can I?" She looks between Carina and I. "Of course you can!" I smile and look at my wife. "Si, I think you'll be great at softball." The brunette says as she looks at me, then at our daughter.

Carina's POV:

I had just finished a consult with one of my patients so I decided to go to my office to relax. As soon as I go to sit down, there was a knock on the door. "Coming!" I yell as I  walk to the door. I open it and see my beautiful wife standing there. "Ciao, bambina." I smile. "What are you doing here?" I ask. "I was able to get off shift early." She smiles. "How much time do you have?" She kisses me. "Mmm.. too much time to count." I pull her into my office and lock the door. We both giggle.

"Thank you, that was much needed." I put my shirt back on. "Your welcome my love." She kisses my cheek. "Well I have another consult to get to." I look at my wife. "Aww man.." She pouts. Just a few minutes later my phone buzzes, I pull it out from my pocket and look at it. "It's an email from Vic.." I look at Maya. She looks at me then at my phone. We read the email together.

Vic's Email:

Dear Bishop-Deluca's, I wish you were here to meet our little boy. We named him Mason Carter after Maya's brother. He's the sweetest little guy I've met.. I know it was tough to say goodbye, But if I'm being honest we are happy here. Ps. We'll visit during the holidays. - Love Victoria, Lucas, & Mason.
