Chapter 9: Sparks Fly

Carina's POV:

I woke up to a burning smell coming from the kitchen. I get out of bed and walk into the kitchen. "Bambina?" I rubbed my eyes.

"Oh good morning my love." Maya smiles. "What are you cooking? It smells terrible in here." I looked at the stove. "I was uh- trying to make you French toast.." She looked at me embarrassed. "Maya your face is as red as a tomato." I chuckle. "You know I can't cook very well.." Maya slightly laughed whilst still embarrassed. "You've told me many times bella." I walk over to her and wrap my arms around her waist from behind as I kiss her neck. "Mmm." She mumbles trying not to moan out loud.

It was later in the day, I had helped Maya cook breakfast and then we all got ready to go out. "Mama?" Rowan walked into Maya and I's room. "Oh hello piccolina." I smiled at my daughter who was standing in the doorway wearing her little pajamas. "What do you need mi amore?" I went over to Rowan and kneeled to her level.
"Can you help me with my outfit Mama?" She asked. "Si' of course I can!" I got up then Rowan grabbed my hand and we went to her room. I helped her pick out an outfit. She was now wearing a baby blue hoodie with a grey shirt underneath and some black leggings. "Ah bambina' you look so cute!" I kissed Rowan's head. "Thank you Mama!" She giggled. I then did her hair into little pigtails. Dio mio her hair is so thin but she looks exactly like her Mommy.

"Babe are you ready?" Maya walks into Rowan's bedroom. "Si we are!" I looked down at the little Bishop standing next to me. "I see someone asked her Mama for help." She smiles. "Mhm!" Rowan goes over to Maya and hugs her legs.

Maya's POV:

Today is the day I'm going to propose to my girlfriend, I'm
terrified.. but I know she'll say yes. "Bambina?" Carina snapped me out of my thoughts. "Yeah babe?" I looked at her and smiled weakly. "Are you alright?" She asked. "Mhm I am." We were in the car driving to a pier to watch the sunset and some fireworks.
"Mommy, Mama?" Rowan looked up from her iPad. "Si piccolina?" Carina peeked into the rear view mirror. "Are we there yet?" She asked. "Not yet baby girl." I awnsered. Rowan pouted then went back to doing whatever she was doing on her iPad.

We finally got to the pier. "My bambinas we are here!" Carina said excitedly. "Yes we are." I replied. "Yayyy!" Rowan shouted. I got the little blonde from her carseat and placed her in my soon-to-be fiancé's arms. "Mama!" Rowan nuzzled her head into the crook of Carina's neck. I looked at my two girls together and fell in love all over again. "Maya you look like your about to cry." My girlfriend looked at me. I felt tears roll down my cheeks so I wiped them away with my hand. "I wasn't.." I denied. "bella' you are." She comes over and hugs me. I look up at her and kiss her on lips. "Ti amo amore mio." She whispers. "I love you too my love." I smile.

Carina, Rowan and I watched the sunset then once it got dark the fireworks started. Whilst Carina was busy with our daughter I knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring. "Marry me Carina." The brunette women turned to me in shock with tears threatening to leave her eyes. "Si bambina." She cried. I stood up then cupped her face with my hands and captured her lips with mine. "Your my fiancé." I was now crying too. "Your my fiancé too Maya Bishop." She smiled as tears rolled down her cheeks.
