Ash's friend when they came to know about Ash's fiancee, were genuinely surprised, they all had been invited to Ash's birthday and now also to his wedding, which was in about a week.

The week passed by, serena got along very well with Ash's female friends, and much to everyone's excitement the day arrived soon.

Preparations were done,the wedding would take place in the castle itself, friends and families were invited.

Almost all of the yvonne palace's people arrived in the region a few days ago, the atmosphere was lively and everyone was enjoying.

All of Ash's and serena's friends were invited to the ceremony, and all if them were pretty excited. The pokemons were busy too with the work they have been assigned, some were working as security, some helped up with the decorations and other things like that.

Ash was being helped by his groomsmen to get properly prepared, which were brock, tracey, clemont, gladion, kiawe and guzma,and Gary was the best man.

(Kiawe did throw some fits about wearing clothes XD)

"Well you're all done" Brock said as he patted Ash's shoulder.

"Just put this on now " Gary said, handing him a bottle of cologne.

The door opened and kukui entered the room, he also was also well dressed in a suit and tie , without his cap.

"Ash are you ready?"

"Yeah I'm professor"

"Okay then let's go, there's someone your mom wants you to meet too "

"Okay then let's go "

With serena

"I still can't believe you and ash are getting married " Selene said, the excitement on her face clearly visible. Ever since the day she saw them together for the first time she really really wanted them to be together (yup an amourshipper)

"And done! " Shauna exclaimed , as she finished putting up the veil on her hair.

"You look so beautiful!! " Lillie exclaimed.

"Absolutely" Mallow said,agreeing on her friend's statement.

Lana and aria entered the room, "the preparations are almost ready, but we still have some time " Lana said, as aria closed the door behind them. Shauna being serena's oldest friend was the maid of honour , while lillie, mallow, aria ,Lana , alissia (Serena's own helper while she was in kanto) , and zosellie (serena's aide in kalos, also one of her best friend) were the bridesmaid.

The door opened , everyone turned around and saw grace standing outside, the girls except Serena looked at each other, greeted grace and left the room to give the mother and daughter some time.

Grace walked up to serena who was still sitting on the stool in front of the dressing table. She stood behind her and looked at Serena's image in the mirror.

"You look so beautiful dear, I'm sure ash will be quite amazed "

"Thank you mom"

"Just feels like yesterday when you were a small baby. but not look at you,you're so grown up now. Seems like times really fly by " Grace said, choking a bit on between as she tried to held back her sobs.

"M-mom please don't cry" Serena said as she got up and embraced her mother in a hug.

Grace hugged her back. Marriage was such a joyous celebration, yet following it came some sorrows, every time a girl had to leave her family to start a new one,Leaving behind the place she grew up, but that is how the cycle of life goes on. A marriage begins a new life for the couple, and also a new life for the people around them.
