Chapter 2 - The Argument

A week or 2 later

- Mumbs what are you doing? -

Grian asked, Mumbo was planting tons of trees around the area.

- Im planting every sapling I get this season, is that such a problem G? -

Grian laughed, it was such a stupid idea for the redstoner like him, he would never be able to do it all season.

- Why are you laughing! -

Mumbo complained.

- I don't believe you will be able to do this all season Mumbs, it's such a stupid idea if you thi k you'll be able to accomplish it. You're a redstoner, your not used to this stuff -

Mumbo went red from Grians statement. He would most likely be correct about it as well.

- Shut it, I'll at least try -

Flustered he got up and walked away, he didn't like Grians attitude but he loved him platonically, they were friends for such a long time that he should've been used to his shenanigans at this point, but he wasn't fully used to it.

- Come on Mumbs, you'll probably miss one tree and fail, let's be honest here -

Grian yelled at him as he walked off. Mumbo sighed covering his face with his hands. Grian scared that he had gone too far walked up to him hugging him from behind.

- I'm sorry, I was trying to be realistic but I'll let you give it a go -

Mumbo sighed turning around as Grian let go.

- It's fine G, I know you were just trying to be realistic it's just with the start of the season it's quite chaotic and stressing me out, sorry -

Grian looked up at the moustached man, his friend.

- Don't apologise it isn't your fault, ill help if you want me too -

Grian said genuinely concerned for his friend.

- I'm sorry Mumbs -

Grian repeated.

- Just, you know -

Grian got the idea and left his moustached friend alone, walking off to his house that he had just built. Pearl seeing this awkward interaction walked over to Mumbo.

- Hey Mumbo! -

Pearl yelled as she walked over.

- Oh hi Pearl -

Mumbo said calmly, not turning to face her.

- Something on your mind? Your not acting normal? -

She questioned, concerned. She wanted to make sure her new friend was ok.

- Grian is just getting on my nerves. I know he's your brother and all but -

- I understand, he's a bit of a weirdo -

Pearl glances over at his base. He was peering through the window.

- and a creep, but he dosent mean any harm, just wanting to make sure everyone is OK. He's looked after me for so long he probably dosent have a lot to do anymore apart from... build. Hes probably quite stressed out with the start of the season and well with me joining -

Mumbo nodded unsure, slowly starting to understand what she was saying.

- so you're saying that he just wants someone to protect? Make sure is ok and safe because he has nothing else to do? And he's stressed because of you joining? -
