"Think twice before saying yes, YN," he breathed into my ear, his tone filled with a veiled threat. "I can make your life hell, and you'll regret it to hell and back."
"I am ready to marry Jeon Jungkook."
Taehyung observed the ring on Yn's finger, his curiosity getting the best of him. He finally mustered the courage to ask, "Yn?" His voice was laced with a hint of nervousness, and he locked eyes with her.
Yn turned to face him, her heart racing. "Hmmm?" she replied, trying to sound casual.
Taehyung took a deep breath before continuing, "Are you married?" His eyes held a genuine concern, wondering if there was something important she hadn't shared with him.
Yn's coffee nearly went down the wrong way as she choked on her sip, caught off guard by the question. She cleared her throat, frantically trying to think of an explanation. She didn't want to reveal her secret relationship with Jungkook due to their contract and didn't want to lie to Taehyung either.
Stalling for time, Yn looked at the ring on her finger, pretending to think. "Oh, the ring," she said, her voice wistful. "It's my mom's wedding ring."
Taehyung raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the sudden revelation. Yn continued, her nerves dancing under the surface, "It's a tradition in my family. When a child reaches the age of 20, their parents give them a family ring, passing down love and wishes for a happy marriage when the time comes."
Taehyung nodded, his concern shifting to a warm smile as he believed her story. "That's a beautiful tradition," he said, relieved that Yn had shared this intimate detail about her family with him.
Yn sighed internally, grateful for Taehyung's understanding and relieved that her secret remained hidden. Yet, as they continued their conversation, she couldn't help but wonder how much longer she could keep her real relationship with Jungkook under wraps.
