Yn's point of view:
At midnight, I woke up to the chill in the room. The barrier of pillows we had placed between us didn't provide much warmth, and I was shivering. Even if there was a blanket, it might not have been enough to combat the cold weather.
"Still cold," Jungkook mumbled, his voice barely audible in the quiet room. I nodded in agreement but wasn't sure what to do about it. Then, out of nowhere, I felt a strong, reassuring hand wrap around my waist, pulling me towards Jungkook's warm body. His touch was surprisingly comforting, and I couldn't help but nestle closer to him.
"What are you doing, Jungkook?" I inquired, slightly surprised by his actions. He merely turned me to face him and embraced me, my face resting against his chest. I felt an odd fluttering sensation in my stomach but didn't quite understand it. I called out to him, "Jungkook," to get his attention.
I looked at Jungkook, my brows furrowed with a mix of confusion and concern. "Why are you behaving like this?" I asked, my voice filled with genuine curiosity.
Jungkook's voice was soft and filled with sincerity as he responded to my question, His words held a weight I couldn't ignore, and his actions proved that he was willing to change. He gently kissed the top of my head, and as our eyes locked, I felt our faces inching closer, our breaths becoming one.
"Yn," he began, his eyes never leaving mine, "I know that I've hurt you deeply, and I fully understand that what I did was wrong. I won't ask you to forgive me because, frankly, I don't deserve it. But I want to try, to make things right."
His eyes held such a genuine look of regret, and I found myself captivated by his honesty. Lost in my own thoughts, I wondered aloud, "You've hurt me so much, yet why do I still want you?" My voice quivered with a mix of emotions, uncertainty, and vulnerability.
