Yn POV
I woke up with a throbbing headache that felt like a construction site in my skull. Struggling to piece together the fragments of the previous night, I discovered a gaping hole in my memory. It was as if my brain had taken a coffee break, but the caffeine never arrived.
As I glanced at the time, panic surged through me. I was late for the office! I rushed to the bathroom for a lightning-fast shower, mentally chanting, "You can do this, Yn," to summon my determination.
Meeting with Mr. Jeon was my top priority, and I needed to make a good impression. I could almost hear the voice in my head saying, "The fate of the world depends on this meeting!" Okay, maybe I was exaggerating a bit, but it was a big deal.
With my heart pounding like a drum solo, I approached his office, praying for a miracle. To my surprise, Heena wasn't around, which was a rarity. This raised my internal suspicion alarm. But hey, I was late, and my Sherlock Holmes skills were still at home.
I forced myself to focus, pushing the odd feeling aside.
After the meeting, I emerged, clutching my chest. Jungkook had asked me to attend a party he was hosting. Hold on, was this real life, or had I fallen into some bizarre parallel universe? Just to be sure, I pinched myself, and yep, it hurt.
I muttered under my breath, "Yn, it's not a dream; it's an invitation." The thought was both exciting and unnerving. It was time to figure out what was going on.
In the cafe, I was sipping my coffee when I spotted a familiar figure – Taehyung. An instinctive smile crossed my lips as I approached him. But to lighten the mood, I decided to pull a little prank. I made an exaggerated, "Ahhh!" noise and watched his surprised reaction, which resulted in a cute little jump.
Taehyung quickly turned around and beamed upon seeing me. He wrapped me in a warm hug, and for a moment, his emotions played on his face – a mixture of worry, sadness, and relief. His voice carried the traces of his concerns as he said, "I was worried."
I returned the hug with a reassuring smile, understanding the rollercoaster of emotions he had gone through. "Don't worry," I told him, hugging him tighter. "I'm safe."
He pulled back, and we took a seat.
Taehyung went on to recount the events from the previous night, telling me about Jungkook's involvement. I couldn't help but laugh at the expression on Taehyung's face. He looked adorable, which only made me smile more.
Yn: Hmm, I can only imagine what must have happened there.
Taehyung slips into deep thought for a moment but then grins so brightly it lights up the room.
Taehyung: So, will you come to the party?
Yn ponders the idea for a moment. Jungkook had essentially commanded her to attend, but looking at Taehyung, she thinks again.
Yn: I will.
Her smile is met by an equally joyful one from Taehyung, and he leans in a little closer.
Taehyung: Thank you, Yn. I've got a surprise for you.
Their faces are inches apart now. Yn's nerves show in her smile. Taehyung retreats slightly before dashing away, leaving Yn pondering the two entirely different yet equally intriguing men in her life.
Yn:(to herself) They're so different. What am I getting myself into?
