Yn's pov:

In that instant, I was paralyzed, my legs refusing to move. I was trapped, and I didn't understand why. My gaze met Jungkook's, and a strange mixture of emotions swirled in his eyes. Quickly, I averted my gaze, unable to bear it any longer. I needed to move, to escape, to do something.

Jungkook's voice, albeit composed, cut through the heavy silence, "Come in."

I snapped back to reality, wiping away my tears hastily. My steps were shaky as I approached him, a broken and bewildered feeling engulfing me. The girl was still there, and the pain in my heart deepened at how little respect he showed me.

I didn't want to see him. For the first time, I didn't want this marriage. He gestured for me to sit, and I obeyed, just as I always did in his presence. Jungkook passed me a file, and I glanced at him, my head tilted in confusion. I didn't say anything, waiting for an explanation.

His words cut through the tension. "The contract," he said, and suddenly everything became clear. My eyes widened as I realized what he meant.

"The marriage contract," he clarified.

I sat in stunned silence, my heart in turmoil. I knew that if I looked at him any longer, I would break down. I took the file from him, my trembling hands holding it tightly. My tears were already flowing, but I refused to let them fall just yet.

I took a deep breath, my vision blurred by unshed tears, and began to read the contract. The room was silent, but inside me, emotions swirled like a storm.

Finally, I looked up at him, my eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and resignation. I extended my hand, silently asking for a pen. He watched me closely, his expression unreadable, before handing me the pen.

I signed the papers, my hand trembling with each stroke of the pen. I closed the file and handed it back to him, my heart aching.

He opened the file and glanced at me briefly before speaking. "Do you want me to find you a job?"

I nodded, unable to speak, fearing that if I did, I would break down in front of him. He looked at me, and I could sense his annoyance with my character, but at that moment, I didn't care about anything else.

Then, the woman next to him spoke. "Oh god, I knew she was a gold digger," she sneered, rolling her eyes dismissively.

I stared at Jungkook, hoping for some sort of reaction from him, but he remained silent.

I couldn't hold it back any longer. I stood up abruptly, banging my hand on the table as I said, "Gold digger is better than someone who is having an affair with a taken man!" My voice cracked with emotion, and tears flowed freely down my cheeks. I locked eyes with Jungkook briefly, conveying the pain I felt.

Without waiting for a response, I grabbed my phone and stormed out of the office. My emotions overwhelmed me as I made my way outside. I hailed a cab and headed home, where I could finally let my tears flow freely, seeking solace in a long, soothing bath.
