"Sage, come on. You're going to miss the bus."
"Coming mom."
"Here's a twenty, try and get breakfast please. I promise I'll go grocery shopping today." Indigo handed the money to Sage and gave her a peck on the cheek.
When she was sure that Sage was on the bus, she grabbed her keys and headed to the office. She was the P.A to a fashion designer. Indigo had worked for her for about ten years now and her salary was still just minimum wage, it was enough to run a household but it was still tough to pay for certain things. She often dreamed of having Sage in a private school, living a comfortable lifestyle and with the new job Kai was organising all that could be possible. Her daydream was interrupted by the telephone.
"Lizzy's Fabrics Indigo speaking, how can I help?"
"Indi, it's me. Meet me for lunch. I'll text you the address." Said Kai on the other end.
"Okay, but don't call on the work line next time, I'll be in serious trouble."
"Not like you're gonna be there for long anyway."
"That better not be a personal call Ms. Williams." Elizabeth, Indigo's boss called from her office.
"No ma'am," Indigo lied as she dropped the call.

"Can you just shut that thing up?" Seth asked as he worked on his computer.
"I'm sorry, I think she's just hungry." Indigo stated as she cradled her baby, in an attempt the soothe her.
"So just stick your tit in its mouth, it's not that hard."
Indigo didn't question Seth however, Sage was now one and she was on solids. Indigo attempted to calm Sage and blend some vegetables at the same time. Being a teenager with a child isn't easy, she had to look after the baby while trying to study at the same time and her husband offered little to no help. He would just bark orders and Indigo would obey. However, some good came from the baby, ever since Sage was born Seth hadn't beaten her and all her old wounds were finally healed. She could finally look in the mirror without seeing bruises or scars covering her body.
"Gosh woman! Shut the child up before I come there!" He shouted again. "Isn't it enough that I had to go and work for my dad just to support you and your child?"
"I'm sorry Seth, I'm making her food. She'll be quiet in a bit, I promise."
She poured the blended food into a bowl and plated up Seth's food before joining him in the dining room. She fed spoonfuls of the vegetables to Sage and grabbed a few mouthfuls of her own food in between. Seth chomped happily on his food and commented on Indigo's cooking skills. This isn't the future that Indigo had visioned. She wished that Seth hadn't been so nice to her when she entered high school. Indigo hated that she liked older men because it was proving to be painful, because she was younger than Seth, he felt that he could take advantage of her.
She often wondered what her life would have been like if she had lived with her real mother. She never fitted in with the Williams family, and for good reason too, her real mom was a prostitute who fell pregnant and didn't want a child. Indigo's birth name is Rachel Lee Rhodes, but when her parents adopted her they changed it and at the age of seven Indigo noticed a great difference between her parents, her younger brother and herself. Her parents both had blonde hair and so did her brother, most of the Williams extended family had blonde hair too. Indigo, however, had black hair and it was super curly, she also didn't have blue or green eyes like the rest of the family, she had dark brown eyes. She questioned her mom about it and that was when she found out that she was adopted and that her real mom had moved across town to find new clients.
