"Oh my gosh! I swear I put it here somewhere." Indigo groaned in frustration.

"What are you looking for?" Kai asked from behind his laptop screen.

"I got an eerie note a few days ago. And this is just a hunch, but it could have been from the kidnapper."

Indigo continued looking for the note. It had been three days since Sage went missing and Indigo was discharged from the hospital yesterday. Even though it had been so long, the kidnappers hadn't tried reaching out to her with the whereabouts of her only child. She started thinking that the kidnappers might have tortured or even murdered her baby. While she was frantically searching for the note, she failed to notice that Sage had dropped one of pens on the floor, she tripped and fell to the ground. The sound startled Kai, when he realised what happened, he ran across to Indigo.

"Indigo, are you okay?" He extended his arm out to her.

"I found it!" Indigo exclaimed as she reached under her counter.

"Okay, great. Now get up please." Kai instructed.

"Kai! Do you know what this means?" Kai looks at her puzzled. "Its evidence dummy!"

She picked herself up and made a call to the police. Within minutes they had sent out someone to get the note from her. Indigo's excitement was cut short when her house phone started ringing. She looked at Kai and he indicated that she should answer the call. She hesitated but took a step forward and reached for the phone.

"Hello?"

"I'm sure you're worried about your dear child." The voice coming from the other end sounded distorted.

"Who is this?" She felt like her heart was about to jump out of her chest.

"That is not important. I want you to come and meet me. I will text you the address and come alone or else your dear child will get it."

"But you don't.." the call was cut. "...have my number." Indigo dropped the phone and fell to the ground.

She pressed her back against the wall and cradled herself. Kai joined her on the floor and wrapped his arms around her.

"Shhhhh." He spoke into her hair. "I'm with you okay. Just tell the cops when they come."

"No, I can't tell them anything. And you shouldn't either." Indigo cried.

"What did they even say?"

"That I must go meet them myself or else they'll hurt Sage."

"I'm not letting you go alone. I'm coming with you."

Before Indigo could protest her phone vibrated in her pocket. They had sent her coordinates and a warning, reminding her to come alone. She wiped the tears from her face and stood up. She needed to be strong, she needed to go there and bring her child back safely. Just as she was about to leave, she bumped into Ethan who was at the front door.

"Going somewhere?" Ethan asked.

"Who? Me?" She fiddled with the phone in her hand. "I heard you pull up."

"Oh, well I'm here for the note." Ethan said as he walked in and closed the door behind him. "Before I forget, we've set up surveillance around your house and in the surrounding area. I forgot to mention that we had all your phones tapped while you were in the hospital. You know, just in case the kidnappers called and you didn't want tell us." Ethan smirked.

"I was going to tell you." Indigo defended herself.

"No, she wasn't." Kai added.

"Yeah, thanks a lot best friend." She rolled her eyes at him. "Well, what did you expect me to do? Just sit here and do nothing when my baby is all alone? I don't even know if she's eaten."

"Have you eaten?" Ethan asked.

"No, but that's not the point. I am going to meet them tonight and that's final."

"Okay Ms. Fierce. I didn't say that you shouldn't go. As a policeman, I know for certain that you will not be going alone."

"Oh, so you're like my bodyguard now?"

"I guess so. You're stuck with me honey." Ethan stated. "Well, just until we find your daughter."

"Are you guys literally flirting with each other while I'm here?" Kai asked.

"Flirting? With him?" Indigo tried to protest.

"Hey, what's wrong with me?" Ethan smirked. "Anyway, back to business. Later tonight we will take you to the meeting place and we will be close by in case something happens to you."
