"Sun's going down a bit, got a few minutes to split up and get whatever but stay light. Ima head for the front, see how it looks out there. If yall don't mind, that is?"

He added that last part to the boys a bit late, eyes flicking back in annoyance before he stormed off. So that mood definitely wasn't leaving any time soon. Liam rubbed at his face in exhaustion, wanting to be home on his couch eating poptarts. S'mores would be real nice right now. Lightly toasted. Fuck.

"Trouble in paradise?" He looked up slowly at the joke which seemed more like an accusation in his mind. Cam raised his hands at the look he got, patting cautiously at his friends shoulder before bounding off for his own things.

"Men and their fucking pride.." He complained to himself although he probably suffered from the same fate. What Sam and him had was about as far from a honeymoon as it could get. All the work of a relationship with none of the benefits.

No sex, no kissing or even acknowledging feelings or anything else Liam found himself wanting to do. Hell even referring to their relationship as 'complicated' was probably enough to set the guy off, he was so repressed.

Liam shuffled around the store a bit, frustration biting at him yet he found himself looking for things the guys might like. Sam in particular just cause it really wasn't fun pissing off a closeted hillbilly who slept with a piece in his pants. Probably even before the world collapsed.

He grabbed at some stuff and looked to the pile of bodies in consideration, thinking back to what the guys would often do which was looting the zombies.
He always refused to because it felt fucked up.

He could look through their wallet and find their name and what they looked like, maybe even family photos or something. Why would Liam willingly subject himself to that?

He sighed a bit, eying around to see if the guys were watching before he reached for a purse hanging off one off the corpses. You piece of shit, that was the only thought that ran through his mind. Her name was Mei.

"You get what I ask for, yes?" Chang waved impatiently with her hand where she stood behind her glass protected counter. They popped two full baskets in front of her and she nearly sang at the sight.

"You boys aren't useless after all!"

She grabbed at their faces like a grandmother, having to reach up a bit to get ahold of Liam's cheek which he swore she pinched harder on purpose.

"Good listener, very smart." She mumbled through her broken english. Liam looked away a bit at the praise and they went on with passing out the stuff.

"You've got those tools right? Im thinking I have a crack at that van just outside the mall tomorrow morning, see if I can get it kicking. If it works we should be able to transport whatever way easier, we'll be set for years."

They set their plans before saying some quick goodbyes and heading back for the house which was just a few blocks down the road.

Liam never felt right leaving Chang behind like that but she always insisted she would die before leaving her shop. They never brought the topic up again after the first time cause of how strong willed she was but it didn't mean they had to like it.

"Shit, it's getting late." Cam hated the dark which was a shame he was afraid to admit. He might be 19 but it was somewhat warranted given now there were real and dangerous threats.

They ran the way back before locking up tight and waiting around at all the exits for any signs of walkers having been drawn by their commotion. Once they were in the clear, they were able to more easily carry on with their night.
