"That sword of yours makes you look like a dumbass. Get some dignity and use a fucking knife. Your a man, right?"

"Oh fuck you bro, I just saved your fat ass."

Adam huffed, tossing over the unfolding hunters blade anyway before making to stalk off. Liam rubbed at his face, about ready to lose his head he was so pissed. He wasn't one to lose his cool but this fool was a fucking master at pushing his buttons. "Hurry up!" He scolded. Liam hardly resisted the urge to flip him all the way off before following after.

2 weeks. 2 whole goddamn weeks of this shit. It was alright at first, sure Adam was harsh and intense but they had a sort of understanding. "Make me a list of your stuff, I'll go get it." That was the first few days.

Adam despite having zero clue who he was and having no obligations to the strange kid he'd met and was fully prepared to mop, he took care of Liam. A lot. It was werid.

He'd wander around wherever Adam left him while the man hunted down pharmacies for what Liam had told him he'd need then he'd come back with medicine and antibiotics and food he'd managed to scavenge.

"It still bad?"

"Atrocius."

Liam laughed and he swore he could almost spot amusement in Adam's face although that could have been gas or something. It had been alright. But now that he was back on his feet and the infection had passed, as well as it could anyway, the more aware he was each day of just how big an asshole he was.

His chewing was no longer hot but disgusting, it was as if he didn't believe in oral hygene; only the former, and he for the life of him couldn't go a single second without belittling Liam about every tiny thing he was doing wrong. Liam hunted same as him, took care of walkers, scavanged, found shelter, built fire, sucked his dick! What more could he want, man?!

It wasn't like when he'd gotten together with the boys, may they..rest in peace. With them it had just clicked, they were friends and family and they trusted eachother. Liam couldn't trust this guy to shit 6 feet from camp let alone have his back. He despised him and he was pretty sure the feeling was mutual.

"Let's be real clear here, kid. We stick together as far as Dickinson, your on your own after that."

"Shit, really? 2 cities, what 9 townes? All by myself? That's a breeze man, no sweat." He was obviously being sarcastic which he knew Adam didnt care for. Neither did he but he was having reportedly lower and lower patience by the day.

"I never asked to fucking babysit you."

"Yeah but you kinda did. And you did a lot more than that, didn't you?"

Adam grimaced in his anger, reaching out to grab a tight hand on the back of Liam's neck. "You shut the fuck up. I'll use you till Dickinson, happy? But that's it." Liam glared, jaw ticking. Jesus, he's hot. He forced himself from the contact but was already eying the stores for somewhere private and walker free.

They hadn't eaten in days, the nearest city being the one Adam was eager to get to. The farther they traveled, the further from civilization they seemed to drift. And more walkers they seemed to find. They were lucky they'd found a small area with some stores and gas stations between the miles of land because they were running on fumes and were garunteed to die if they got stranded out there.

"Your fuckin desperate for it, huh kid?" The man tsked with narrowed eyes, flopping down to the sofa of some w- vet clinic? Who knew. Liam tugged at his pants, yanking a little too rough in his annoyance. "Fuck off."

20 minutes later with that officially out of the way, they were back to what they needed to do. First it was food then it was gas. If they were lucky they could find a quick stop shop with both.
