Cameron's dead. He was alive when Liam thought he wasn't and now he was. Cam was there all along, all that time Liam spent wasting on boos and guns, on Jack.
They could've been together, all of them. But Liam was too slow, too busy trying to save everyone else or just trying to save himself. That's how this whole thing began, him running away. Saving himself. All that to get them back and it only got Cam killed. This was on him and that was a fact.
"I'm sorry." Jacks voice came from the door of the cell he'd been lead to. "I didn't mean for any of this to happen."
Jack lied. About being able to keep a secret, about his friends deaths. Cam died because of Liam yeah but someone got him there. Someone put him in that cage and kept him locked away from the world, away from Liam who would've burned the whole place to the ground getting him out of that's what it took.
"I..I can put you with your friend or..bring him over. He deserves to know."
"What did you just say?" Liam turned back, mouth hung. Jack stared for a moment before trying to recover although it was far past that.
He shot from where he'd crouched on the hard cement seat, barreling a fist into the man's face before he could much react. The punches kept coming, over and over. Grunts and shouts came from him instead, eyes burning.
"..-iem..pleas.." Jack coughed, nudging back the fists that labored in their exhaustion. Liam only managed to jerk himself away when their eyes met and the memories flashed in his brain again of a body soaked in blood.
A shakey breath slipped his lips. He stood, brushing at his head as he paced before placing firm hands on the back wall where he stood trying like hell to breath and not crumble beneath the weight of the guilt he was sure would never disappear.
Jack spit some blood away, breath heavy where he stood. "I fucked up. I'll make it right. Okay? Liam, ill.."
His voice drifted as Liam refused to acknowledge his pleas, a moment later the sound of the door could be heard before Jack was gone.
Liam managed to shift the bones of his wrists just in time as the metal clamps shut around them. He watched Everette carefully who did the same, both calculated with what they revealed. Then he smiled, calling for Sebastian who appeared with Cam and a sick smile as the assistant stepped up to dig a knife through Liam's gut once more.
"Long time no see huh? Yeah I like this new look on you kid, if I'd known I might've asked you to dinner. Always been a fan of those ghetto girls but I don't think I'm Avery's type."
He ignored the bastard, addressing the only man in the room with any power. "I'll do it, don't use him though." Liam found himself begging to the man. "P..please. I don't wanna see."
"Well then son, close your eyes." Everette gave a wink before a final nod somewhere behind Liam. The sound of grumbling came and agonizing pain gripped at his chest.
"Let's try this again, shall we. We don't want a repeat of last time. Liam I want to introduce you to someone, Cameron say hi."
He took many breaths, willing his eyes to open at the figure at his side breathing down his neck. He couldn't hide, couldn't pretend like it wasn't happening as much as he wanted to. Face him man, acknowledge what you've done.
"..C.." He shook his head, Cameron's teeth chomping at him like a crazed animal. His wound was horrendous where he stood, insides spilling out on the metal bars of the torture chair just inches from Liam's hand. He couldn't hold it in, leaning over the opposite site as he began to hurl.
