Blood.

There was blood on the floor. So thick and deep that it pooled up away from the source. A woman stood in front of them, shocked and frightened, her sight flickered from one to another but lingered longer on the body lying on the ground. Lifeless.

"What have you done?!" She screamed as terror began to rise.

The boy on the left didn't share the same face as the boy on the right. However, she could tell they were connected. Linked. Except that the other had nothing behind his gaze. She took a step back toward the doorway, before turning to her heel to run outside. Both children remained in the room. Each had something in their minds.

"She will choose you," the child mentioned on the left mentioned.

The one on the right glanced, only to see the child had grown into a young adult. "Do you remember me now, Abel?"

Abel lunged up in bed, his heart beating so hard against his chest that he thought he would lose air. Iris woke up too and sat up, gazing at him inquiringly. "It's okay...it's only a dream."

"It's getting worse. Sometimes, I could feel him breathing next to me..."

Iris turned to switch the lamp on his bedside table. "He's not here. I'm here. Stop thinking about him."

"I'm not thinking about him, idiot cat! He was unconsciously visiting my dreams---is this something funny to you?"

Iris laughed at how frustrated the adorable bunny lying beside him. "You sound like that jackal when you call me an idiot cat. Only much sexier..."

This annoyed Abel that he decided to leave but Iris pulled him so hard that he landed on top of him. "You're taking everything as a joke!" he started hitting him on every part of his body but Iris continued to giggle.

"Okay, okay...I'm just trying to ease the stress. Don't get mad at me, baby."

"Stop calling me baby."

"I thought we'd already established this endearment a long time ago."

"I never agreed to it!"

"But would you rather I call someone else that way?"

Abel looked down on him. "Try it."

Another series of cackles that Iris' stomach almost hurt. Abel started hitting him with pillows this time, muffling his soundly laughs. Suddenly, Iris' arm was around him, pulling him down into an embrace. "Dearest Abel, I love you selfishly and I love you with pain. I hated myself for being born in this world but you've changed that," he whispered next to his ear. "How can I ever call someone else the same way I called you? There could be no one else."

"Sweet talker," Abel pouted but it did calm him down. "You better be loyal or I will---"

Moving his hand back up to his neck, Iris pulled him down and kissed him. A kiss so intense and strong. A kiss that he always wanted. Abel kissed him back and felt his tongue gently pushing into his mouth, lips caressing each other as Iris' hands held him tightly against his body. It took all of his willpower to pull away from that kiss and when their lips parted for a short while, their eyes met.

The obvious heat and yearning filled their bodies. Iris wanted him. He wanted Iris. Abel could kiss him forever and just enjoy the physical sensation, be intoxicated with the passion that he was giving him.

"I'm thirsty," Iris confided.

Abel's finger touched the side of his cheek and traced the shape of his jaw. "I'll let you drink but you behave, okay?"
