Coat of Arms...

Coat of Arms...

It was past midnight and she was still sleep-deprived. Judiel swung her feet out of bed, papers littered all around her but she didn't seem to care. She went to the kitchen and got herself a glass of water.

As much as she didn't want to admit it, Delbert might be right. The fastest way to get information about the Elders was to use the boy they sent to that university. Though sending that boy was influenced by them, it was still the human government he represented and not the EHPU. Using him would defeat the purpose of his being there. It didn't seem right.

On top of that, Judy would never forgive herself if anything happened to that boy. She had grown attached to him and his grandmother. Speaking of his grandmother, they all lied to her regarding the whereabouts of her grandson. She thought they send him to a prestigious university in the city. They never mentioned anything about vampires.

Raking her fingers through her blonde hair, she had finally accepted defeat and succumbed to Delbert's initial recommendation. Tomorrow, she must find a way to get in touch with the boy. They sent him three things and she was certain that one of those things was something he must've worn out of convenience.

Abel gazed at the smartwatch, counting the time that the class would be done. In just three days, professors managed to give them loads of activities to do. He realized how convenient it was for a vampire to be able to move fast but then he immediately took it back when he discovered that though they were skilled and fast, some of them were as idiot as he was. The only thing they could recognize fast was the scent all over his body.

Yes, the scent of another vampire declaring ownership.

An Elder too boot.

Speaking of this Elder vampire, Iris was nowhere to be found. Although there was only one class where he could see him, it was impossible not to encounter the man outside of the classroom. Iris was always near him even if they hung around different groups. He wondered where the man had gone but he had no way of contacting him. On the other hand, why should he contact him?

Sven was still the same. He was still avoiding Lexus and Milo. While Lixue was still unfriendly towards him. He would often catch her glaring at him, and she made no secret of her contempt. She could either show it with her eyes or with the way she ignored him. Hard. Truly, there was never a day in Abel's life in Saint Constantine that can be considered dull. Every day there was a new drama. Everywhere there were new vampires to meet and encounter in all sorts of ways.

And every class he learned more about the Bloodsucking Immortals of the West.

"So, vampires can produce children?" Abel asked Sven one day before the start of the second period. Knowledge about vampires consumed him and for a good reason. He was enrolled in a university filled with their kind.

"We can," Sven explained. "I told you before that your kind categorized us into three classes. Class-S are the Elders, the Class-N are the normal vampires that used to be human. And then, there's the middle class or Class A. These are offsprings of vampires."

"Interesting...I assumed they weren't born in a normal way."

Sven chuckled and opened another page in his book. They were in the library but no one seemed bothered about what they were discussing. "They weren't born in a normal way. Two undead creating another undead. What do you think?"
