AYA

I was busy sketching my new design when Ella, my secretary, entered my office.

"Ma'am, I just received a call from Glamor Models, they're asking if Luxe Label Co. is interested in being their designer for their upcoming fashion week."

Napatigil ako sa pag s-sketch at nag angat ng tingin kay Ella.

"Glamour Models? The famous modeling agency here in the Philippines?" paninigurado ko dahil baka mali lang ang narinig ko.

"Yes, ma'am. They need more designers at isa ang Luxe Label Co. na gusto nilang mag designs para sa upcoming grand fashion week nila.

Napatakip ako ng bibig dahil sa sobrang tuwa. "OMG! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Go ahead and contact their agency and accept their offer. Then hold a conference and gather all of the LLC's staff and designers. We need to be well prepared."

"Noted, ma'am, " anito at agad lumabas ng office.

Sinandal ko ang likod ko sa swivel chair ko at nag paikot-ikot. Goodness! Ang ganda ng starting ko rito sa company. Imagine, isang malaking modeling agency ang nag offer sa LLC na mag design ng clothes for their models para sa grand fashion week nila. Ang swerte ng LLC dahil sa dinami-daming clothing line sa Pinas ay isa kami sa napili. Malaki ang magiging exposure ng LLC dahil brand design namin ang irarampa sa event nila.

Bumalik na ako sa ginagawa kong sketching. Habang nasakalagitnaan ako ng ginagawa ko ay tumunog ang telepono sa ibabaw ng mesa ko.

I picked up the phone. "Hello? Aya Bernads, CEO of Luxe Label Co., speaking," I said.

"Good morning, ma'am. This is Alexa, the secretary of Glamor Models Agency. Miss Samantha Guererro, the CEO of Glamor Models, would like to invite you to lunch so we can discuss the thing about our offer to your company. Are you free today, ma'am?"

Bigla akong napatayo. "Oh, hi! Yes, I'm free. I would love to meet Ms. Guerrero. Luxe Label Co. expresses gratitude for being chosen as a designer for your upcoming grand event, " ani ko. Walang busy pag ganito na ang opportunity. Kahit busy dapat free haha.

"Thank you, ma'am! It's our pleasure to work with an amazing Luxe Label Co. We're also thanking you for accepting our offer. By the way, I'll send you the location of the restaurant, ma'am. Have a good day!"

"Noted, Ms. Alexa. Have a great day ahead, " I said before she ended the call.

Mabilis kong tinapos ang ginagawa ko at niligpit ang mga gamit ko 'tsaka lumbas ng opisina ko.

Napatigil ako sa paglalakad nang tumunog ang phone ko. I just received the location na sinend sa akin ng secretary ni Ms. Guerrero kung saan kami magkikita.

"Ma'am, I already informed all of the LLC's Staff and designers, " salubong sa akin ni Ella.

"Okay, we will start our meeting pag balik ko. May lunch kami ng CEO ng Glamour today. Ikaw na muna ang bahala rito, " sagot ko sa kaniya.

Tumango naman ito. "Okay, ma'am. Ingat po."
Nginitian ko lang ito at nagpatuloy na sa paglalakad.

Dumiretso na agad ako sa restaurant na sinend sa akin. Pag dating ko ay agad akong pumasok at sinalubong naman ako ng isang staff nila.

"Good afternoon, ma'am. Table for?" tanong nito.

"Hello, we have a table reservation, " sagot ko naman rito.

"Sino po ang nag pa-reserve ma'am?" Kinuha nito ang mini-notebook niya sa bulsa at tinignan.
