I shoot up from my bed, panting with my hand over my chest. I turn my head and see Shuhua standing in front of my bed who has her hands on her hips and dressed for work
"What time is it?" I say finally calming down
"Is time to get your ass up and get to work. Your going to be late on your first day, so be quick" she turns and leaves the room slamming the door behind her
I reach for my phone and turn it on to see the time
"SHIT IT'S 8:45" I shout
I toss my blanket off me and sprint to the bathroom taking the quickest shower of my life. I brush my teeth, put my hair In a high ponytail and get dressed. I wear some beige patterned pants and blazer with a green silk sleeveless shirt to put it all together

I give myself a last look in the mirror smiling at myself. Honestly, I think I look great for the first day! Originally I worked as a waitress at an American restaurant called Texas Roadhouse, many tourists visited there so it was the perfect opportunity to practice my English and Korean since the locals wanted to try something new. I worked there for longest time the reason I quit was because my ex was working there but once she got word that I was leaving she left before I had a chance to. It was nice of her pretty much the only nice thing she'd ever done for me anyway but enough about her. Shuhua on the other hand still worked there with our friend Minnie who's the manager, she had no problem with me leaving understanding the patience, but the reason why I quit was because I want to be in music. I like to say 'I didn't choose it, it chose me'. When I told my parents what I wanted to do they shut it down very quickly and like any other child who has a dream and their biggest supporters says no, they're bound to be heartbroken. But that never stopped me! Me and my sister Shuhua got a scholarship at a college in Seoul Korea, and even though our parents didn't want us far from home they wouldn't let us pass up an opportunity like this. We've been here for 4 years, both fluent in English and Korean. Anyway, enough about my life, for now, I need to leave before Shuhua kicks my ass
I grab my hand bed and leave out my room closing the door behind me. Shuhua is waiting for me on the couch scrolling on her phone, I roll my eyes she doesn't even have her shoes on yet and she's yelling at me to get up. I grab my keys from the key hook by the door. Once she hears the keys jingle she grabs her shoes and sprints to the door waiting for me to walk out
"You're not going to put your shoes on?" Raising a brow at her
"I'll do it when I'm close to work. Having these tight shoes on hurt" the younger whined
"Like hell they do" chuckling at her response
I Close the door behind me and lock our apartment. We get into the car and drive to work. Shuhua works at a fashion compay with her girlfriend Soojin they met around 2 years ago and they really are the cutest couple. 20 minutes later I make it to Shuhua's job and Soojin is waiting for her outside with her arms crossed. Me and Shu look at each other and chuckle but get ourselves back together. I park the car in front of the building Shuhua unbuckles but Soojin opened the door and takes her out
"I had a meeting with the Taiwan branch, we had to talk by a translator. Do you know how embarrassing that is for me?"
Shuhua tries to hold in her laugh by coughing which makes the latter glare at her for a moment then glare back at me
"I really needed her this morning, I told you Yuqi. I needed to get this deal through Taiwan, I needed Shuhua. And because of you I'll probably lose a lot of money this year" she shouts clearly upset
"Look I'm sorry Soojin, I'll have her early from now on don't worry" trying to reassure her smiling
But this makes her more pissed cause to Soojin "trying" is not good enough when it comes to working "give your all" she says
"No, she'll stay at my house for the next 2 weeks"
She slams the door grabbing Shuhua by the arm practically dragging her inside the building. I roll my eyes driving off to my job
"Goddamn grouch" I scoff
I do admit it's my fault Shuhua was late, normally she's never late I always get her to work on time. She doesn't trust Ubers and she doesn't like driving so I have to drive her unless she walks. It takes 20 minutes to drive to shuhua's job, then my job is around the corner. Sometimes Soojin will take her beloved (shuhua of course) out then keep her for the night. And clearly from Soojin's out burst she will be keeping her for awhile. It's now after 9, I park my car grab my things and head to the building. It's very tall and looks very fancy, I thank God for getting me a job here as an assistant it's better than nothing, right?
I go through the doors seeing the most beautiful things ever! Everything is shiny and well put together. As I'm admiring the beautify of this place I bump onto someone
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry for-"
I stop and stare at the latter my heart drops when I see who it is. I have to be hella unlucky to see her again, I vowed to never see her again and she's here in front of me. She looks different but she's definitely still the same. I brush myself off and give a hard sigh at the sight
"Good morning Ryujin" I say in displeasure avoiding her eyes
"Morning Qiqi, you don't seem too pleased to see me. Why is that?" she fake pouts leaning forward
I cross my arms and roll my eyes, she's definitely the same, cocky, annoying, and immature. Shes definitely hasn't changed
"You have no right to call me Qiqi, Ryujin. And I cause I thought I wouldn't have to see your rude ass anymore"
"Oh my gosh, that pierced my heart"
Putting her hand over her heart and pretending to cry, so dramatic damn
"Yah, stop faking I'm running late remember? I still have to meet my boss"
I softly push her shoulder then crossing my arms again
"Yeah well, if I would've known you were coming I wouldn't be surprised if you came later"
She chuckles fixing her blazer. She still has some nerve to insult me. She waves her hand signaling me to follow her, we get into an elevator, entering the fifth floor. We got off and walk down a hallway, obviously no words are being spared, like who would want to talk to Rude-jin anyway? Anyway, the older knocks on the door after a few seconds I hear a faint voice say 'come in'. Ryujin opens the door for me, I enter seeing the most gorgeous woman in my life
She has beautiful blonde hair, with dark grey eyes and beautiful full lips and her face just full of beauty. God definitely spent a lot of time sculpting this masterpiece. My eyes widen at the sight of her, I cant help it shes so..so...perfect. Everything about her is absolutely captivating. She smiles when she sees me walk in the room which makes me melt immediately. Shes now walking towards me, we shake hands and bow slightly
"Goodmorning Miss Yuqi, I'm Jeon Soyeon. It's a pleasure to have you here with us today" she says sweetly
Her words make me smile very big, shes so nice for someone who looks like they could kill you
"Thank you for giving me this opportunity Miss Soyeon! I promise I won't let you down"
Now getting excited for my new jobs and my first day on the job is going great so far! Well, besides seeing Ryujin.I finally got a job in music, my dream job most of all. Even if I'm just someone's assistant I'll still be able to learn from this experience. Me and Soyeon talk for awhile while Ryujin is third wheeling, she asks me why i decided to take this job so I give her a short background story explaining why I wanted to work in music
"Working in music has been my dream job, even since I was a little kid. Although my parents didnt want to take this route in life, I promised them that I wouldn't let then down and make it up to then in the future" slightly lifting my head proudly
She smiles nodding her head a bit
"I love your passion Yuqi, welcome to SY entertainment"
