XXV || "I think he is the one."

For the first time at night, Lilith felt pretty miserable.

They camped out in the woods, a hundred yards from the main road, in a marshy clearing that local kids had obviously been using for parties. The ground was littered with flattened soda cans and fast-food wrappers.

Lilith sat down and leaned against a tree and Annabeth sat beside her. Percy and Grover sat a little far from them.

Annabeth sighed, "The quest isn't going the way I expected it to go."

Lilith laughed a little, "Why? You are still killing Monsters every second."

Annabeth chuckled a bit, "Well yeah, but still I feel something is wrong. And what if I...didn't make mother proud?"

Lilith turned towards her friend and took her hand in hers, "Look at me, Beth. You already made her proud, okay? When you fought the Furies. And if she didn't see that, then she is a loser."

The lightning cracked and Lilith rolled her eyes, Annabeth laughed at her friend's actions, "Lils, you are awesome. You have been on quest before and you looked Medusa in eyes, you are funny, you are smart. Probably the only one at camp who knows what she is doing."

Lilith sighed, "I don't know shit, Beth. I don't know what I am doing. What I am doing on this quest or whatever." She looked at Annabeth in eyes, "All I know is that, I have faith in myself. "

"How are you feeling?" Annabeth asked.

Lilith felt sudden attraction towards her shoes as she realised her left boot's heel is a centimeter higher than the other. "My left heel is higher."

Annabeth sighed at her pathetic attempt of changing the topic. "Lils."

"Okay fine. Well, I am fine. I just feel dizzy. Nector is doing a good job, I guess it'll heal till morning." Lilith looked everywhere but at her.

Annabeth knew the healing part was a lie but she didn't pressed further.

"What do you think about Percy? Do you think he is the one?" Annabeth asked as she laid down.

Lilith's eyes automatically fell on the ocean eyed boy, "I know he is the one."

Lilith's eyes were still on Percy that she didn't realised Annabeth falling asleep beside her.

Percy felt someone watching him and turned.

His eyes immediately clashing with her Amethyst brown ones. He smiled and Lilith felt a little flutter in her heart. A blush made it's way towards her cheeks as she hid behind the curtain of her hairs.

Neither of them realised a dove watching them as the ocean eyed boy shamelessly stared at the amethyst brown eyed girl.

In her dreams, Lilith found herself in a garden, snow was falling around her and the place felt so peaceful.

She looked down at herself and realised she what she was wearing.

She was wearing a beautiful purple coloured gown. Her frame perfectly defined in it, on her head was a crown as if she was a Princess.

She was barefoot as the gown's bottom covered her feets like waterfall. A gold necklace adorned her neck and the gold earrings adorned her ears. Gold bangles in her hands that made melodious sound when they clinked together.
