IV || "I hate not knowing things, Terry"

"I invented a spell???"

AT NIGHT, Lilith had a dream. A dream of her mother at some mountain.

The mountain was covered in snow but it was like the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. Lilith watched as her mother made her way elegantly towards a castle.

Lilith followed her mother. Nyx turned and Lilith first time saw her mother looking nervous.

Nyx made her way inside the castle and Lilith followed her, keeping a close eye at her surroundings.

The Goddess of Night turned around a corner, Lilith followed her but she froze on her track when she again saw the same forest she kept seeing while she was on her quest.

Nyx bowed to the same Lady, Lilith saw before. The Lady nodded at Nyx gently, giving her respect.

They talked about something but Lilith couldn't hear what they were talking about.

Nyx said something with made the Lady looked at Nyx in visible anger, the Lady's eyes turned crimson red, she drew herself to full height and—

Before Lilith could see anything she woke up with a gasp. It was midnight, no one in her dorm was awake.

Lilith got up from her bed and drank some water, "What was all that about?" She whispered to herself.

Finding no conclusion she made her way towards the forbidden forest.

The Forbidden forest was seriously creepy at night. All the tress were tall and branches created weird shapes in the moonlight that would make anyone paranoid.

Lilith went deeper into the forest, she felt the hairs on the back of her neck raise. She was being watched. Her hand silently curled around mist as she looked at her surroundings without being suspicious.

Turning around she saw four massive rhinoceros like monsters with thick and pointy bones pointing out from their heads. Their tails were like whips, whenever they lashed at the ground, they left marks.

She remembered Drew teaching her about them. They had attacked Alexander the Great's army when they were trying pass the Northern Indian forest. They had decimated a lot of the warriors through their bony, saw toothed horns.

Lilith had no idea what to do with those. Before she could think of a strategy,

THUMPTHUMPTHUMP.

With a gasp, Lilith doved away from the tress she was hiding behind and watched as the whole tree fell down from the impact of an aeternae.

Another one ran for her and Lilith remembered Alabaster telling her to shout anything in Latin and it will be turned into a spell so she raised her hand and shouted, "Incantare: radices."

The tree roots underneath the land started to come out and wrap itself around those rhinoceros looking bulls, but they easily ripped through them.

"Oh fuck." Lilith whispered as she ran her for her life. Her brain quickly ran itself as she tried to remember any other spell that Alabaster taught, but she couldn't find any.
