10/2/24 - AN: Heyyy. So, I've noticed that too many of you read this book before reading the the first three? Like what?? I literally wrote the number 4 in the title 😭 read the room people. But yeah, if you're new here and you're interested in this book because you love Moonbli, please don't read it unless you want to be hella fucking confused. Not everyone is going to explain everything lmaoo. Read in order!! That said, you might find the first two books lengthy and messy, and you might be angry at the lack of Moonbli scenes (more so book one than book two), and book three may seem entirely irrelevant (It's Glorybringer, and it definitely is relevant), but trust me, all three of those books build this fourth one.
Anyway, that's it my new readers! Sorry for blabbering, enjoy!

I sat down in front of my doctor, my leg bouncing and my fingers fidgeting with my hair. I hadn't been feeling well for the past month, and I thought it'd go away, but it never did. Finally, desperate for an answer and not wanting to go to the hospital for something that could just be symptoms of the common cold, I decided to take a pregnancy test.
I didn't expect it to be positive. In fact, I expected the opposite, and I would've been fine with that because I was used to it. Hundreds of dollars spent on pregnancy tests in the past only to be rewarded with disappointment and restless nights was what stopped me from ever buying one again. I stopped hoping. I knew I was infertile.
At least, I thought I was infertile.
And of course my first instinct is to call Glory before confirming with a doctor.
"So, I really am pregnant? The pregnancy test wasn't broken or anything?" I asked, although, I felt I had already asked that question numerous times.
A corner of the doctor's lip lifted in a small, patient smile. "Yes," she replied. "A month pregnant. You are infertile, so it is a medical mystery, but still very much a miracle. We will run more tests to see how you are doing, but other than that, you both seem completely healthy."

All day my mind was thinking. I could barely focus on teaching my students, and even worse, I couldn't stop worrying. Once all the students went to lunch, I hurried to the teacher's lounge.
What I also couldn't stop thinking about was how I was going to tell Qibli.
"You seem awfully bright this morning," Anaconda said as she sipped on her coffee from her perch on her chair. Her legs were propped on the table in front of her, and she had a somewhat dubious expression plastered onto her face. "You finally got rid of that student who won't stop flirting with you?"
"Haha, very funny," I said as I crouched in front of the mini-fridge.
"So, what is it?" she asked. "You're usually duller and more tired around this time. Do you have a paid week off or something?"
"Nope," I said, shrugging as I twisted a water bottle in my hand before standing up and closing the fridge.
"Qibli taking you on a fancy date tonight?" Anaconda guessed.
"Unfortunately, no," I answered, sitting beside her with a salad. "Stop interrogating me."
"I don't know. Something's going on and you won't tell me what."
"Exactly, so stop trying."
Suddenly, the door to the teachers' lounge opened, and a very exhausted Bryony walked in. She sighed, rubbing her head.
"That's how I expected you to walk in," Anaconda murmured before speaking up. "What's up with you?" she asked Bryony.
"You know the new teacher Principal Armadillo put me in charge of?" Bryony asked as she rummaged through the mini-fridge. "Well, he's a pain in the ass. He's always asking questions, and frankly, I think he suffers from the inability to shut the hell up."
