The roars of dragons in celebration as we begin to land lurches through the air. The dragons move to allow room for Tairn and Rebel room to land. The little gold dragon races to catch up to Tairn and Violet.

As Rebel lands I grip my legs and let go of the pommel.

'I expect that you know what to do.'

I chuckle and dismount with a large jump. I regret it as blood drips from my wraps on my hip. I push my hand into it and walk to the roll keeper with Violet, whose eyes are on my hip.

"I'm fine, keep moving."

General Sorrengail's eyes are on me and Violet as well only for a moment. The dragons are chattering and I look at Rebel, who is getting stares from everywhere.

"Hurry up Talon."

I nod as I wait in line. Melgren is viewing Tairn and Violet. Professor Kaori jumps from the bleacher and gapes at Tairn and Rebel.

"Is that really?"

The commandant starts.

"Don't say it. Not until they do."

Violet steps up to the roll keeper who is looking at Tairn. I hear Violet say his name to the roll keeper and I smile a bit. But I'm not feeling that great. I see Nolan gazing at me across the field at the aid tent. Bodhi is only a few steps in front of him as well. I look to the front again and see Violet staring back at the gold dragon.

"Violet are you alright? Violet do you need a mender?"

I see Bodhi slowly walking closer to us.

"And Andarnaurram."

Violet says to the roll keeper.

"Both dragons."

Violet nods back at her and all hell breaks loose. I limp next to Violet.

"I know that there's a lot going on right now, but I need a mender. My name is Talon Highbrooke and the dragon who selected me is Rebelrel."

She nods to me quickly and I nod back as I turn to the tent looking right at Bodhi and Nolan. I hear Rebel make a large growling noise.

"Talon, you need to lean on him now!"

Bodhi looks to Rebel and then back at me, but there isn't enough time. My world goes black.

Bodhi's POV:
Me and Nolan carried Talon to a cot in the healing tent. We set her down Nolan peels back the top of her pants down over the slash under a sheet.

Her hip bone is exposed and she has lost a lot of blood.

"You are going to have to hold her down."

"Why?"

"It's going to hurt like hell."

Nolan raises his hands above her and I lightly hold her shoulders.

Not a second later Talon jolts up. I push her back down and shush her. I hand her a piece of leather which she looks at questioningly.

"Bite down."

I tell her and nod my head to reassure her. She settles and grips the edge of the cot tightly. I rub small circles into her shoulder. As Nolan finishes he looks down at her.

"You need to take it easy for a few days. The muscles will be sore and the pain will continue for a while. I'm going to grab a wrap so it won't be irritated. I'll also grab you another pair of breaches."

Talon nods and Nolan leaves us in the back corner of the tent.

"Are you okay?"

Her blue eyes softly look up to mine and she smiles.
