I hardly get to see Violet, Rhiannon, Sawyer, or Ridoc. Which makes me a little sad honestly. I see a lot more of Dain, Imogen, and Quinn. Plus I see Bodhi a little more now. I currently am waiting to head for breakfast. This is something I do get to see my friends and am itching to do so.
Xaden walks down the hall and meets my eyes quickly. I push off the wall and straighten my back a little.
"Have you told him yet?"
Xaden's question sounds more like a demand.
"No I haven't, we haven't really had a moment alone."
He huffs and turns his gaze to the hallway.
"I'll figure out a way to give you time Talon, but you have to tell him tonight."
I snap my eyes to his quickly.
"I haven't really figured out how."
"The how doesn't matter, He has to know or you don't stand a chance of making it as a couple."
I look down to the ground and we both go silent.
"I'll figure it out."
I tell him and turn as the bell rings. I hear footsteps behind me and I turn to see Bodhi's smiling face coming down the hall. I hesitate and give him a weak smile.
"How'd you sleep?"
Bodhi asked and I looked to Xaden. The truth I have hardly slept since Xaden found out about my second signet.
"Fine, how about you?"
"Would have been better if you were with me."
I give another weak smile and Xaden taps Bodhi on the shoulder.
"Hey let's get to breakfast, Highbrooke's waiting on Violet anyways."
I give Bodhi a peck on the cheek and nod as to move him forward. He smiles and walks forward with Xaden. I turn and see Violet and Liam striding my way.
"I thought you'd never come."
Violet and Liam chuckle a bit. We go get in line for breakfast. When we make it to the table I am overwhelmed with happiness being surrounded by all my friends. It's a moment I'm going to cherish especially when I look up and meet Bodhi's eyes. He's smiling at me with so much joy it makes my heart want to explode.
I push off the table when the bell rings for classes.
"Hey Highbrooke, you and that dragon of yours could teach me a rolling landing?"
Liam jokes. I chuckle and shake my head.
"You know Liam, I kind of like you so I'm not going to embarrass you with a sarcastic remark."
Everyone laughs as I begin to walk with Imogen and Quinn to our first class. I might only have a couple of hours to enjoy this, but I'm going to enjoy every second of it.
Later during free time:
I sat down drawing my own map for land navigation. I am sitting at a table with a pencil in my mouth. I'm checking my map with my compass and tools carefully, when two arms swoop underneath my arms. I jump and spit out the pencil and gasp.
"Hey it's okay, it's just me."
I hear Bodhi's soft voice in my ear. My muscles loosening as he lowers me down in my seat again. His eyes scanning over my map.
"That's really good Talon."
I sigh and look at the detailed map I had created.
"I just hope the professor thinks so too."
