"Let's take a break," Brooklyn suggested, closing her laptop shut and standing up from her seat. We were practically done with our project now and we were just making the finishing touches to make it perfect.

We agreed to meet the day before our presentation to finalize everything before we had to present it to the class but other than that, I wouldn't have to spend time with her outside of class anymore.

I didn't know whether or not to feel relieved or sad. I felt sad to lose a potential friend. I didn't even know if she considered us friends or acquaintances but I definitely considered her somewhat a friend now.

To think I thought she was so annoying and snobby just a few weeks ago. I guess first impressions weren't always accurate.

I also felt relieved because now I didn't have to juggle this weird feeling that I had for her and that I could just focus on Nadia who has been perfect lately.

She hasn't gone on any jealous tangents or got upset at me for little things lately which was making me a little suspicious.

"Okay, what should we do?" I asked, ready for a break too. We had been working on this for an hour already.

"Let's get icecream!" She suggested happily. She grabbed a hoodie and threw it on herself. "C'mon I'll call Henry to drive us."

"You know I have a car right?" I asked, smirking at her.

She rolled her eyes. "I have a personal driver though."

"I'll never get over the fact that you just have someone that drives you around. Do you even know how to drive?" I chuckle, shaking my head at her. I followed her out the door and down the stairs.

I still haven't gotten used to her huge mansion of a house. So far, I've only been in her room and the kitchen. I haven't quite explored the entire thing and I would definitely get lost if I tried.

She scoffed at my question. "Of course I do."

She stood at the passenger side door, not moving to open it at all. I roll my eyes, already used to this behavior. I lean forward to open the door for her and she smiled triumphantly.

"Thank you," she said, sliding into my car.

"And you wonder why I call you a princess," I laugh, jogging over to the driver's side.

"Let's go to Baskin Robbin's!" She suggested once I pulled out of her long driveway.

"Wait did your sister wanna come?" I asked, suddenly remembering she had a little sister who I'm sure would love ice cream.

"She's sleeping already," she responded, smiling at the side of my face. "I'm surprised you remembered I had a sister."

I shrugged in response, not really knowing what to say.

Once we got into the Baskin Robbin's, Brooklyn was already surveying all the different flavors. She looked like she was contemplating hard on what to get.
